      Temperature is too white, and colour reproduction is subpar, making things look washed out. There is also a massive lottery with whether you will have significant green tint at lower levels.

      In saying that, the output is good, and this is a great torch otherwise.

        I'm too late. 😂 I just found out reading the SC31T Pro review on 1lumen.

        I get it now. SST40 is one of the greenest tinted LED's out there apparently. so yeah your comment makes sense now. 🤢

          @n3ck3ntry8bort0rgasm: Yep. Wurkkos FC11C (or FC11) with a 519A 5000K emitter is a much better option IMO - they're almost the same torch, FC11 has less throw and no anduril. You'll be getting shipping from China, though.

  I looked at this when someone commented about it in the last torch deal, but weirdly there is no spec about brightnesses and runtimes.

  then I noticed Andril, which is something I learned about in the Sofirn lantern post.
  apparently Andril is like a customizable program running on the torch. so I assume you can plug it USB and use some software or app to customize how it works.
  customizing looks really complicated so as a normie I do not want to mess with it and would want to use torches how they come out of the box.

  *From OFF:

  Press and Hold: Level 1
  Single click: On to memorized level
  Double click: Level 5
  3 clicks: Battery check
  3 clicks and hold: Memorized blinky mode
  4 clicks: Lock out
  7 clicks: Change button light mode
  10 clicks: Switch to advanced mode
  13 clicks and hold: Factory reset
  15 clicks: Version check
  

  From ON:

  Press and Hold: Ramp up
  2 clicks and hold: Ramp down
  1 click: Off
  Double click: Level 5
  3 clicks: Switch between stepped and ramping
  4 clicks: Lock out*
  

  ^ this sounds way too complicated. on and off and change brightness please. 😂

  looks like 500lumen mode overheats quickly too, so over 5 minutes but like around 10 mins until drops to 250lm and goes slightly up to 300lm? (yellow line in 1st graph).
  but out of the box the SC31 Pro Andril works as ramping, so smooth brightness adjustment from dark to bright.
  graph is for SC31T Pro but seems to be the only difference it T model has the tactical tail switch. I would probably prefer having no tail switch and the hole to put a hand strap.

    It's actually way less than hard than it seems and quite intuitive. Anduril is an awesome feature to have. My mates don't ever have any issues with using my lanterns or torches that have it. Easy to factory reset it if you screw something up.

      the SC31 out of box click situation I quoted is already too complicated for me. 😭
      as someone who is not outdoorsy I just need on and off with brightness.

      I got this $27 with coupon osram p8 LED torch with strong magnetic tail which is just right for me, 500lm max for 1.5 hours (350lm for almost 2) but it's just fine for looking for things at night in and out the house. it was cheap so micro USB but the osram should have good life.
      press once on and 500lm. second press 350lm third press flash then off. also times out after a few seconds of being on so only need one press for off.
      I think if it had so many click functions it would just frustrate me.

        You won't know if you don't try. It's literally as easy as holding the button down (from off) until it's as bright as you want it. Double click for instant full brightness. That's 95% of everyone's operation right there.

          @bananabendera: I did try though my friend has a nitecore? which has 2, 3 click button combinations like the SC31.

          I was trying to use it and didn't know it turns on at lowest brightness so I thought it wasn't on (obviously it's not good to look right into the light when you turn it on), then because I was confused I pressed the button again and again too fast and the light went into flashing mode and I could not get out of it. each button press kept cycling flashing modes, then I gave it to my friend who did some special combination and fixed it.
