I have bought it using this deal, thanks! Somehow this deal is even better than eofy sale 2024. I tended to wait for Black Friday, but last year' Black Friday never reached this low.

      • Dyson supersonic nural, the new model is out. They are clearing these out.

    Are these worth the price?

Unless you need most of the attachments, the Dreame Gleam (about $150) is a very workable alternative. So is the Shark hair dryer, goes between 250-299.

There's also better temperature sensing dryers like Philips SensIQ, Panasonic NanoE range etc.

If you want a salon-grade dryer, Parlux.

      • +1

Agree on the Dreame but if not in a rush it's fairly regularly available for $99 on Amazon.

The glory is on sale at jbhifi for $150 which is superior to the gleam

    • +5

Most definitely if you have more dollars than sense

    • I use these regularly at the gym, think they literally dry my hair slower than a cheaper traditional looking phillips dryer. But im not the target market - im a man with short hair, and dont care about the weight, just max power. For long hair - the impact on their arm etc is a major factor and thats why people buy these apparently.

Nah, for this money get a Gama . It’s half the size and makes it super great to pack for travel

As someone with long hair, I love my Supersonic and have always said I would repurchase if it broke. It actually dries the hair on the back of my head quickly and doesn't make me feel overly hot when drying hair. It's lighter than typical hairdryers too. And added bonus is I found it quieter than regular hairdryers.

However after getting a Shark Flexstyle which gives you the same drying speed with (arguably) more portability and included additional attachments, I'd buy the Flexstyle over the Dyson Supersonic now. Flexstyle is also often cheaper.

My $10 hair dryer lasted 12 years, how good is Dyson's quality?

    • -1

using refurbished one since 2021, going strong, guess its a simple and intelligent tech.

      • -1

If it would last 10 years, I may get one someday at a discounted price around $300, otherwise it's too much spending for doing simple things.

If you aren't fussed with hair drying.. i wouldn't waste your money..
I'd argue a $60-90 is more powerful but heavier..

If you do it regularly, and find holding it a bit tiring then it might be up your alley

Have acquired five since 2016, all pre-owned and all still in service. The only minor flaw is the filter cage being somewhat fragile

I have used the Dyson many times at the gym. At home I use my $50 Remington 2200w for the last 15 years.

Without any attachments, the Dyson dries faster (on full speed and full heat) however is it not as hot as the Remington at full speed.

However I feel I can dry and style my hair using the Remington more effectively than the Dyson hence saving time. Whereas the Dyson on low and high speeds I cannot style my hair as effectively.
But for the gym I just want to get out quickly so the Dyson is great as I'm not needing to style my hair.

I see salons use Dyson and I guess it saves drying time

If drying hair fast and saving around a minute everyday in the morning is important to you, and $388 is no big deal, go for it.

$388 for this? Get a life.

I recently got an airwrap for our wedding anniversary for $470. I had $100 credit so worked out to be $370 for me. Check out this link but don't get too emotional as people start bidding excessively and there is an additional 22% commission and 2% card surcharge so set a limit based on your search of how low it will get at a regular store and decide how much to bid. I bought one last year for $365 but aramax stole it hence had to pay extra.

I must say airwrap feels very plastic-y for the price but perhaps they wanted to keep them lighter.
P.S. these are refurbished but have a year warranty.

Whats wrong with suggesting an alternative which is cheaper? People don't like to save? Seriously all these cheap trolls online can't face you in the street.

Can get for $320 from dyson.

$399 with 10% from ShopBack and 10% from Westpac card.

    • +2

From my understanding, the Shopback cashback is 5% as it does not fall under the category of 'Eligible New Technology & Gifting items only'.

The 10% would only apply to the Nural version. Check the terms and conditions.

So more like $340ish after 5% cashback and 10% Westpac cashback
