17/10: Moved to forums, deal is still not working 1 day later. eBay have told users that it may be fixed in the next few days. Please re-post as a new deal when/if it is working/obtainable.
I also got the email and was about to submit the deal, but it's only showing $49/yr when I try subscribe. I don't think it's active yet…typical eBay lol

This is exactly why you should avoid eBay at all cost…. Everything eBay works like this ..
Never got 7 monthly vouchers. They acknowledged it and offered me 1 $5 voucher. Then got shitty when I asked for the others and then hung up..and gave me none.

Where? Under eBay says no cashback on eBay plus membership and eBay plus says “temporarily unavilable”
It’s been unavailable for a while, I think not long after the last time they gave a profit for signing up

eBay plus charged me two years in a row after I cancelled during the first year from a promo like this. Both times I had to fight to get the money back. Won't do business with them ever again.
don't think I've bought anything from ebay since amazon started up a few years ago. For me it's just a case of buy it cheap on ali and wait a while, or get it tomorrow and pay a bit more on amazon.
Congratulations? Plenty of stuff on eBay that is not on Amazon, especially older second hand stuff that you are unlikely to find anywhere online other than eBay and possibly Cashies.
I use my EbayPlus mostly for beer from CUBs eBay store, use the $5 off every month and get a case of Carlton Draught for $48 delivered. Cheaper no where in Sydney

Agreed, but lately these seller promos offer way less value than they used to.
Back in the good old days, we got 3 free sales per month, and they ran it consistently for over a year.
Nowadays we're lucky if we get 1 free sale every couple of months.
Yeah, those were the days. For casual small-scale sellers it was great, now it’s geared heavily towards larger sellers who are able/willing to maintain a store.

How difficult is to cancel the auto renewal after 12 months??
Easiest way is to use single use credit card
Be careful with that, they gave my dad a negative balance and no Plus when he'd cancelled his card but didn't cancel the membership. I'm guessing they'll automatically charge it if he adds another card to the account even if he doesn't want Plus (there's no option to cancel Plus, only to subscribe).
eBay do on sell debts to debt collectors which is bad for your credit rating too. I received a debt collection notice for about $30.00 from a collector on behalf of eBay a few years ago. I paid it straight away as I didn't want any further hassle.

Ideally use a card you plan to cancel before the renewal. As per comment above they charged me twice despite having cancelled and deleted the payment method.
You cancel auto renewal as soon as you sign up. It will still be valid for 12 months

I did this, but forgot I had an old card used as the payment method, so payment was declined upon renewal.

I suspect this was a mistake by eBay likely for an upcoming promotion, also can you view the Terms if they're linked in the email? I didn't receive one, but curious as it'd note actual dates this may go live.

Just got the email too! Amazing! I was holding off buying the $30 Adidas running shoe deal yesterday because I didn't want to use my first ebay plus 30 day trial, but with this definitely going to grab a pair now!
For reference, I haven't been an ebay plus subscriber ever and haven't also used the trial as mentioned. Account created only last year.

Got the email and spoke to Ebay customer service. The person who assisted me was very helpful and quite transparent - they said Ebay had experienced some system issues and the promo email was likely sent in error, but they escalated my request to honour the offer and told me the request will be adjudicated within the next 2-3 business days.

I suspect you're right, but it's always worth a shot. If they don't honour the offer, as I suspect they won't, I simply won't sign up for eBay Plus.
I got the email 'Peter, join eBay Plus for $10' but like others here the discount does not show up on the join page.

I've taken a break for ebay plus since June, and my wallet has more $$ than i join ebay plus. If you're no in ebay plus, you will save a lot than joining it. :)

I still can't see the value even at $10. Amazon is peace of mind because returns have never been denied and are so easy. Ebay don't hold bad sellers accountable.
I just contacted eBay Customer Support and they say they are aware of the issue and are looking to rectify it. They say they will contact 'those eligible' by email once the problem has been resolved.

My link worked straight away.Wanted some payment details and then put me on 30 day free trial and then will go on to the $10 ,12 month deal.I've already saved some of the $10 fee.
And a word of advice-never use paypal as payment for limited offers that you may want to bail from,makes the quitting process 10xxx harder.
if you are referring to subscription, you can just cancel the automatic payment from your paypal account settings, no?
I went through this last year with a telco where I'd used PP,not easy,it's a convoluted process to quit,it happens eventually but drags on and on.Avoid it at all costs.
What a truly bizarre promotion. First time I've been sent the fabled email for $10 Ebay Plus, but click through and it's $49. Thought it might be useful leading up to Christmas, but guess I'll stick with Amazon et al.
