  • Are the shoes any good for walking?

    • +6

Varies person to person, I can't walk in basketball shoes personally but these are closer in feel to a running shoe than some styles, springy and a bit of flex through them, not as stiff as a lot of basketball shoes.

These have a pretty soft tread which is great for grip on indoor courts, but I would say will have a limited lifespan outdoors.

        limited lifespan outdoors

That's an understatement. Used to go through probably 2 pairs of UA shoes per year. They'd get very flat quickly and you start feeling rocks on the ground when you walk and begin to delaminate. Switched to Hoka a couple of years ago and haven't actually worn any pair out yet (except Speedgoats which is obvious why, great shoes though) - my daily Clifton's though are still so comfy after over a year - won't find them for $60 though

        • Any further comments on the Speedgoats as a trail shoe mate? Currently got a pair of Mizuno Wave Daichi 7 which are proving stable and comfy (just used walking). The Speedgoats dropped to $150 at Athlete's Foot which seems a really cheap entry to give Hoka a try.

@liam2040: Only thing I can really add is they're quite wide in the toe box, I normally get 2E shoes (I've got Rincon and Clifton's in 2E's) but in the Speedgoats I had to get a D. If you've got narrow feet you might feel like they're swimming a bit haha. I had the 5's though haven't tried the 6's yet, not sure if they suffer from the same problem

Really good shoes though, slow if you're just on some crushed rock, but once you get into the mud they're really grippy so you can be confident you won't go tits up. If and when I do buy more I'd probably pay the extra for the Gore-Tex version, that depends entirely on what you're doing though

      • Ooh thanks. I usually wear pulse boost and pure boost shoes and they work great. I do have gt4000 form ASICS but it’s heaps more expensive for the same thing I feel

Take a look at the Puma Electrify NITRO 3. They come down to $48 using code RACV50 Puma website https://au.puma.com/au/en/pd/electrify-nitro%E2%84%A2-3-knit….

Very comfortable shoe. I bought the white initially and they were so comfortable I bought a pair of the black as well.

Thanks mate you are a legend

    • i guess i'm going to buy this shoe since the UA doesn't have my size

order 4 more shoes, get the 1 you want and return the other 3 for free :)

        • lmao the time wasted on setting up the return is worth more than 10 bucks to me lmao first world problems here on ozbargain as always

          • @Roe Jogan: but i saved you $10 bahahaahahah =p

            • @prankster: i bought 2 for $102 delivered, Electrify NITRO 3 and Retaliate 2 which also look decent

              • @Roe Jogan: Thanks you just made me buy an extra shor plus get one for the missus 😂

        • Seems like some other items work with the RACV50 code too.

    • Thanks!

    • I can vouch for Nitro being very comfy, and the neoprene tongue lining is the tits. Although Mine are starting to skweek because im a bit of a chonk

I’m too late. Voucher is not working anymore.

"You have been blocked" comes up, resolves it, then of course size 15 is out of stock ffs..

    • +1

      I got blocked too hahha

      • +1

Just run it in incognito mode seems to fix it for me.

        • +1

Ahhh good idea, I ran in incognito and got banned a second time…(and third and fourth and fifth).

Edit: switched to edge and it worked first time

@TerryJustTerry: My bad I did that too sorry. Might be my ad and tracking blocker on chrome.

            • +1

@donman92: Nah dont sweat it, I think it just doesn't like Chrome ngl

              • +2

@TerryJustTerry: might have to jump ship to Brave / Firefox if the new update kills ublockorigin. The only reason I don't switch is simply coz I cbf porting over all my saved passwords + card payment details and FF doesn't sync passwords from google accounts.

Is size 15 ever in stock?

      • +1

        One day, one day..

  • Thanks OP bought some, UA make pretty damn good gym/lifting shoes imo

  • Works on Edge, Chrome says Blocked.

  • How's the sizing for under armour, pretty consistent with other brands? (Particularly ASICS.)

    • +1

I don’t know about ASICS but they’re consistent with the other brands that I’ve worn. US12/UK11 for myself.

  • These anything other than some pieces of foam and plastic glued together?

  • I remember when Foot Locker was always overpriced, good to see they have the occasional deal now

  • Bad question- i normally wear US 11 size in adidas/reebok/puma walking/running shoes, should i buy same US11 for this basketball shoes?

  • Beware, Footlocker are notorious for the sales they don't delivery on.

  • not sure if it should be updated, but i know mostly ozB are probably 90% men lol but should title state "mens" shoe?
good for me but yeah if i wanted to find women shoe - it didn' have this style on the website anyway

    • Got the X3 for my daughter last week in men's size 7=size 8.5 women's. Grip on indoor courts good but the tongues pretty thin so may need to wear thicker socks to support your ankle.

  • @TechMeSomething
    Code RACV50
    NOT WORKING,ANY TIPS

    • It is working but not 50% anymore and only if you spend more than $150 then looks like you get 25% offf , the party is over :(
Guess will have to see future if it happens again
