Melbourne - New Home Builder Recommedations

Bought vacant land (585M) looking for recommendations on good homebuilder.

Quality, experience and value are the three main pillars I am looking for looking to put in a double story 5-bedroom home. So far looking at the big guys, Henley, Simonds, Metricon, Boutiuque, ABC. Though maybe there were good alternatives at a potentially better value mark as the big guys are all just priced against each other.

Thanks all

First Home Buyers? Which are kind of Boutique homes anyway. I built with them, and they were good. The quality was good, and there were no issues overall. I would build with them again if I was ever to do that. You can still customize what you want.

  • I didn't realise the ABC was into building homes, i just thought they were a bunch of angry leftists complaining about everything.

Niche Living. They are backed by the govt, so good.

    • Do they do residential build? Their website does not have the usual information like build / example floorplans etc.

And do you known if they build in city/state other than Perth / WA ?

  • What is the average cost?

  • Just a fyi, ABC Homes is owned by Metricon. It's their budget option that's not branded as Metricon.

  • I wouldnt trust anybody to build a house right now at the rate of going toes up…

  • Good luck!

You need a degree + advanced post grad diploma to sell people a super investment for like $1 meanwhile you heed high school + cert IV to sell someone a $300k build. It is really a problem.

  • Probably cheaper to go with volume builders, If you are after something custom, my builder is pretty good.
