    1. If you are already on Boost, you CANNOT port your existing number to this sim card.
  2. This is a brand new Boost sim card. PORTING YOUR EXISTING NUMBER TO BOOST:

You can request to port your number to Boost when activating the SIM. Before porting the number, contact your current service provider to confirm personal details. Make sure your Name and Date of Birth registered with the number are 100% correct, including spaces. Ask to update your details if anything is incorrect. Once confirmed, provide the exact details to Boost to initiate the porting. Some carriers will send you an SMS to authorize the porting request, so ensure the current SIM is inserted until the service is disconnected.

Telstra users need to contact Boost first before porting their number. We tend to ship out the item the one business day if the purchase is made Mon-Fri, by Australia Post. TERMS OF SALE All the things we sell come under warranty unless stated otherwise in the listing.

  • Thank you

  • Existing boost customers can port out to another provider then use this deal transferring number?

    • Yes, but it's best to wait at least 24 hours before porting back.

      • +2

eh, more like 30-60 mins. did it last week.

        • +1

You can now port out and port back all within 30-60 minutes? Which other provider did you use?

          • @netsurfer: the ebay seller sent me a $2 optus sim with the Boost SIM.

Didn't realise I'd have to pay minimum $12 to connect the optus sim (grumble grumble) but it worked ok.

I did have issues initially with porting back to Boost, but waiting another 15 minutes or so and the process worked fine.

            • @Alzori: Yeah that's standard (and a waste of $12).
              Just call em up)

  • Couldn't you just talk to their support and ask to keep the number? It worked for me previously. You could also just buy a $2 sim from any 7-eleven and port out and back?

    • Some where commenting that this no longer works. You can also find cheap$1 sims at post office when they are on special

      • I did this via boost support just last week

        • +1

I have tried twice in the last 12 months and got denied both times. Both made me port out and back. Did you call or go through web chat?

          • +1

@delpy: Web chat, I guess it depends the support person

            • +1

@fat queenslander: Just did it successfully. She was adamant that it was not possible to port my existing Boost number to the new SIM. After a few rounds of polite pleading, an "expert team" was able to help her. Instead of porting the number over, they activated and deactivated the new SIM and provided a recharge on the old SIM. Fortunately, $230 is no longer offered, so they applied a $300 recharge. It was a "one time courtesy".

I always have, on the Boost chat each time, last time the chat feature seemed missing. Had to call. They reluctantly did it.

Should be some more of these deals closer to the end of year hopefully. Don't need a new one until end Jan. Guess could always activate earlier (only waste about 2.5 weeks).

  • -1

Hi there! Just to confirm, if I buy this, I do not have to activate it until 6th of Jan 2025 at the latest?

    • +1

It's the other way around, you need to activate it no later than that date, after that the sim will expire and will no longer be valid

  • Last thread suggested you cannot activate after November (well, you can, but you get $230 credit to use on another plan because the 170gb plan won't exist)

  • Damn, I just bought from the same seller for 189 bucks like 2 weeks ago.

  • $150 after $80 cashback from TopCashback from
    Boost website.

    • Did it work for you? Did not work for me and many others. Just going to get this deal since it works.

      • Got tracked for me

    • Those SIMs have 30 day expiry.

      • +1

I doubt it. You just have to activate within 30 days to get the cashback.

        • Yes, that may be correct, but it still retains my point that the TopCashback deal referenced above is not a better deal unless you want to activate in the next month.

          • +1

@delpy: Yes Of course (and don't buy yet if that's the case).

  • It says out of stock !

    • Hi,
      The sims have been restocked.
      Thanks

      • Hi, do you have the same deal on an eBay store etc?

Wondering what is changing with these prepaid Sims come Jan 2025? Don't need to activate it for a while (towards end Jan)

        • +1

The plan is being deleted by Boost from 21 October.
They will honour prepaid SIM's but the indication is that there is no substitute plan outside of moving up a price and inclusions tier to their ~$365 Annual SIM.

          • @ESEMCE: Ah, so more data as well? $365 is getting up there ($1/day).

  • Do you know if this plan to use eSim or do we have to use the sim included?

    • Hi,
Once the sim the activated. It can be converted to e-sim in the boost app.
      Thanks

  • Hi @oztechtraders, I purchased one a few days ago, but I don't believe that I have received an email confirmation or auspost notice. Is this expected? Thanks.

    • Same here I ordered in the 15th Oct, did not receive any email, now I suddenly remembered that where’s my order???

      • Dear Buyer,
Your item was delivered on 22nd October.
Please check your email junk folder as well your order related emails including invoice should be delivered there if not in the inbox.
Otherwise we can resend you these again.
        Thanks

    • Dear Buyer,
Please check your spam/junk folder for the confirmation email. As sometimes the invoice and confirmation email gets delivered in junk. If you have not received the email in your junk please reach out so we can send the invoice again.
      Thanks

      • Update: all emails from Oz Tech Traders were in my junk mail. Thanks for helping me sort it out and providing Auspost tracking. The SIM card arrived last week.

    expired

  • A quick note - I ordered this deal via the link but forgot to put the code in, and Oztechbiz completely ghosted my e-mail asking for them to make up the cost difference.

          Coupon discount refund processed.
Sometime emails land in the junk folders and create issues.
          Thanks

          • @oztechtraders: Very impressed with you sorting out my own mistake this quickly on a Sunday.
I appreciate the service and will definitely buy from you again.
            Cheers

            • +1

              @deviante: No issues.
We are glad its sorted out.
              Thanks

  • Boost haven't been able to validate a SIM I purchased — they've referred me back to the merchant to advise that they didn't scan the purchase. I've emailed Oz Tech Biz today, and about to PM them on here. Hoping for a speedy resolution, and I will report back to update.

    • Hi,
We believe it has been resolved.
Boost when distribute/sell sims to the resellers they make the sim ready to be activated in their system.
only the sims distributed or sold via channels like woolies, coles etc they have to scan and upload money on the sim via scanning.
      Thanks
