  • Which Costco?

    • +4

All of them - it's a warehouse savings deal that runs until Oct 27th.

Very decent rice for the price although not as good as India Gate Classic but much cheaper, especially on sale like this. I find it cooks a little quicker than the IG Classic though.

      • Cheers…
Ye it is a great price and great find. Will try to grab one…

      • India Gate Classic

Do you rate that better than the "Shah Jahan" ?

    • Most be all Stores, They are doing a Sale on most of indian products due to upcoming diwali festival

That’s an S in secret disguise, zilly

  • I saw it today in Costco Bundamba, Ipswich, QLD. I guess should be available in all stores in AU.

  • That's a lot of rice

    • I reckon, I was like watdaa..

      • I finish 20kg in 4 months solo

        • You eat a lot of rice

          • +1

@DiscountForThee: Yes, rice at least once or twice a day. Not addicted but it's the best

            • +2

@Lit Homie: Haha I wouldn't call eating a lot of a staple gain being "addicted"

Rice is great, love the stuff

        • Grabbed one from Casula store

        • This guy races, using a ricer (the cooking machine of course)

      • Like white on rice

    • mixed white and brown. You need to wash couple of times to get moderate white not as white as India gate. Has more starch. Not good for diabetes people.

Even they give it for free I won't buy it. Old rice and smelly. Since it was selling at cheaper rate, I brought 20kg and now regret it. India Gate is the best one.

    • +6

Older rice is preferred in the regular households for desi houses. Just for your info and not mocking.

      • Exactly, Rice are better when they are 1-2 years old.

:-) funny man. I am not here to prove what I know and what I don't know. Go and buy that rice enjoy the smell after cooking and the starch who care. I just provided my opinion to the wider audience who has similar preference like me.

        • Its ok .. ansi2cn .. we understand .. thank you for the info. Sorry for calling indians desis .. and sorry for the smell and taste. Apologies if someone hurt you .. but please do cool down and take care ..

          • @iamprabhath: I review the product based on my personal experience that's what I wrote here. Jumping to the conclusion that it hurt someone sentiment is a narrow thought. People who rush to buy might have similar preference like me might avoid buying it. Instead of regretting it later like me.

Have a good day and sleep better.

  • Lifetime supply.

I thought it is Dewalt Rice.

    • Not Ozito?

  • 20kg rice? A daawat indeed.

  • you can normally get the 5kg bag for $11.99 at Costco so this isn't a huge saving. good for households who cook rice daily i guess

    • The 5kg rice and this 20 kg rice are different though they are both Daawat.

  • Were going like hotcakes at Ringwood yesterday. Pallet disappeared within 20 mins.

    • Most be all Stores, They are doing a Diwali Sale on most of indian products.
      Rice
      Samosa
      Mung Daal
      Cheakpeas
      Forzen Parathas
      1 kg Paneer
      Ghee (3 kg)

  • What’s the difference in taste for the daawat 5kg? Curious as I always buy the 5kg rice. Which one is better?

    • The 5kg one is a different variety (although basmati like a model variant in cars) .. since it is a little bit costly or cheaper .. it may depend on your taste ..
