Thanks OP. Grabbed the MagSafe version.
Will cashback work for this?
I won’t buy any power banks that need more than two hours to recharge (not discharge) just fyi. They tend to just sit there while the faster-charging ones get used a lot.
Depends how many mah?
30k maH impossible to recharge in 2 hrsYes, of course :) I don't have anything in that range, as I found them to be too bulky.
But good if you have laptop that take 65w or 100w. You can keep working in the bush lol
whabbout 27k in 2hrs ?
it's easier in Watt hours because then you can divide 1:1.
30,000mAh power bank = 111Wh. if you charge at 60W divide 111/60 = 1.82 hours. but is this calculation correct? no because charging lithium battery at 60W doesn't mean it always charges at the max 60W. it slows down as you get above 75% charge and some even slowly increase if you are charging from 0%.
27,000mAh power bank = 99.9Wh.if you want 111Wh (or 99.9Wh) charge in 2 hours the power bank needs to accept PD 100W max charge or higher. I think some expensive ankers can do it. Xiaomi No 20 which was posted here regularly before deals suddenly stopped can also do 100W in.
weirdly my LifePo4 Kings Powerpack charges without any slowing down or speeding up. just constant 42W until it's 100%. maybe LifePo4 batteries can handle it because average cycles of LifePo4 is 5x to 10x of Lithium.
Which ones can charge a lenovo legion laptop?
Find out the DP specs of your laptop, and get closest (must be over l) wattage power bank you can afford.
Pretty much no affordable powerbank will let you run a gaming laptop drawing 160w+ on full load. The included power brick should indicate the 'max' power draw your laptop will use. On light desktop use you can likely get away with 30w+ chargers without it slowly draining.
If you have a specific target like a game. You can use a program like HWinfo64 to see battery discharge rate and have an estimate on what power you need to sustain that workload.
Thanks for the detailed comment. Just looked at the charger and it says 230W. I'm not really for sth that can charge it while gaming. Just something that can charge it when I'm browsing the internet or when it's idle.
Nexode 200w 27000mAh also has a 5% code.
Ooops…i read that wrong. Nexode 200w is 25000mAh.
Does it have passthrough charging?
Anker said pass through chatging is bad.
Yeah, I thought this was a standard feature until I bought a Anker 20kMAH powerbank and was shocked it doesn't have passthrough charging.
best way to protect//cover these ?
If anyone is able to setup a Taobao account, you can get the massive Ugreen Nexode Pro 300w, 48,000 for $70 USD (about $104). I am overseas and got one, not sure if its possible from Aus.
This one:

if cannot take in checked luggage, and cannot take on carry-on, then it's really not practical for travellers
Some need to power their laptop while camping or bushwalk.
Why on earth does anyone need to take a laptop camping or bushwalking?
I think something like this is impractical too.
Just buy another power bank at that point
Obviously not for air travel. We have frequent power cuts and this will keep my laptop and internet going for a while. Also for travel in country.
@gadgetguy: Whatever works for you.
But I share the same sentiment as the person I was agreeing with, you could achieve the same result (including the stuff you mentioned) with an extra powerbank and not limit yourself to road travel
Here a review of that unit that's negative https://www.xda-developers.com/ugreen-48000-mah-power-bank-r…
can't be shipped to my location :(
