NordVPN: 100% Cashback for New NordVPN Customers @ TopCashback AU

270

100% Cashback for New NordVPN Customers.

TA's Tips:

  • A new customer is defined by NordVPN, and nothing to do with your TopCashbackAU account. Simply use a new email address at their end, the same TopCashbackAU account as always, and you're good to go.
  • Click/tap through TopCashbackAU, don't click/tap away to other sites looking for codes, don't use any 3rd party plugins, and avoid browsers such as Brave. Best to use the TopCashbackAU mobile app on 4G/5G as this eliminates potential issues with WiFi/router firewalls etc. Tracking for NordVPN is not instantaneous and may take a few hours.
  • All plans (discounted or not, excluding upsold products) are eligible for the increased cashback (2-year, 1-year, monthly). Remove up-sold products such as NordPass & NordLocker as they are ineligible for cashback. So unless you really need or want the extras, best option (IMHO) is to choose one of the Basic plans and not Plus or Complete.
  • A tip from comments in previous posts is to select a country with no GST to save further at checkout as GST is ineligible for cashback. Pay with a card that does not charge overseas transaction fees.
  • And finally remember you have the safety net of NordVPN's 30-day money back guarantee. Should tracking fail or if you’re not happy with the product, I strongly suggest cancelling rather than submitting a claim as you're then in the hands of NordVPN's analytics for attribution.

What will stop me getting my cashback

  • Cashback can only be earned by customers opening a new NordVPN account. Renewals are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is eligible on the VPN service only. Upsold products like NordPass & NordLocker are ineligible for cashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on payments made with Crypto currency.
  • Cashback is ineligible on use of any codes not approved and posted by TopCashback.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchase of gift cards and/or use of gift cards for payment.
  • Cashback is ineligible on purchases made via the retailer's mobile app.

What else is essential

  • NordVPN trades in US dollars meaning the purchase amount and the cashback amount tracked may vary due to conversion rates.
  • Most retailers calculate cashback based on purchase amount excluding GST, other taxes, and delivery fees. Your cashback may report lower than expected due to this.
  • Always return to TopCashback and click through via the pink cashback button to the retailer's website for each new transaction. Ensure the TopCashback link is the last one used to visit the retailer's website prior to completing your purchase.

  • Does this connect to Ukraine? PureVPN doesn't!

FYI don't expect to get paid out for a year, maybe more

    • +1

I used this exact deal a few months back. Took around 2-3 months to get my cashback so YMMV

    • @belongsinforums Can't comment on what happened with your purchase but this delay can be avoided. When your order tracks, expect payment in about 2-3 months. If it doesn't track, please cancel within 30 days.

It tracked but still no payment. Love the neg btw

        • Hi. With due respect, are you sure you're referring to TopCashbackAU? Off the back of your comment, I've run a report pulling all NordVPN transactions from start of April 2023 to end of June 2024 and every tracked order is approved & payable (unless cancelled by member). Feel free to reach out directly to me if you believe this is incorrect. Cheers.

    • Mine arrived some time between 2-3 months after paying, which is when they said it would iirc

      • Also a new email address is all that's needed if you're a repeat customer

Can get 6 month voucher on eBay for ~$35 or 12m for $55 if you don’t have faith in getting cashback. I did it, very easy and comes from official NordVPN acct. much cheaper then going thru the website. Not as cheap as this deal though.
Voucher adds to an existing account also.

  • Can we still buy the upsold complete etc and get partial cashback (for vpn only)?

    • +1

@Zeral Yes, you will receive partial cashback on the eligible portion.

  • Does this work in china?

  • Anybody else having the message

    Payment in progress
We'll email you after we've processed your payment.
Meanwhile, you can activate your newly created account.

I sign in a few minutes after downloading the app, and it's asking me to sign up again..
Payment is already processed via wise.

Update: It's been processed now, had to reboot the app to get it working.

  • I dont think tcb tracks 100%. Their norton deal was inaccurate tracking only 92% plus GST which you pay on top.

@will05 With your Norton purchase, did you use a card that charged international fees and/or used PayPal?

It has been mentioned in prevous posts of VPN 100% cashback offers (that charge in US dollars) that we don't receive 100% cashback possibly due to conversion fees, GST etc that are excluded from the cashback. It is probably the same with Norton. The cashback providers appear to pay 100% cashback on what is reported (minus fees and taxes) with the VPN 100% offers.

TA mentioned here with a copy of the report that showed TopCashback did pay 100% cashback for NordVPN: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15280808/redir

I haven't bought Norton but with NordVPN, I received about 95-96% cashback from the 100% cashback offers with both TopCashback and Cashrewards. I used a card with no international fees and chose a country without GST. I used PayPal who charged a hidden conversion fee regardless of the no fee card attached. When I bought PureVPN, I paid $8 more for using PayPal to pay, with its conversion fee. If I used the same card (with no fees) directly with PureVPN and avoid PayPal, it would have been $8 less. The fees and taxes can add up depending on your payment method. They are excluded from cashback.

      • @trixieb did you use a card that charged international fees and/or used PayPal? ——>yes PayPal - Norton charges in AU currency so Int. fees out of question. anyway, I end up cancelling the whole thing as it was cheaper to get with retailers like eBay. And yes, you are correct little bit variations expected when getting charged on foreign currencies, Thanks.

@will05 Just saw your previous comments that it was 93% cashback and TopCashback didn't know why when you enquired: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/15695944/redir

As you mentioned, it's cheaper to buy from eBay sellers if it's not 100% cashback as advertised.

  • I got the Plus service and cashback tracked. Will this get declined?

    • Same here, ‘NORD Plus’ cashback is tracking around 85%. I don't mind the 15%, still a good deal IMHO. Not sure if it will get rejected? Maybe Should request a refund within the 30-day period, just in case?

    • @moo @BargainTeddy Great to hear they tracked. I just checked with the rep TA and can confirm that cashback will be paid on the eligible basic VPN service as per your tracking amount. The upsold portion will not be eligible for cashback.

Thanks for the confirmation @trixieb and @tightarse

  • Nordvpn sent me:

    Thank you for your purchase
Here are the details of your order.
    Item
    Price
    Basic: 2-year subscription
    A$123.56/2 years
    VAT 0% - A$0.00
    Total: A$123.56/2 years

    Cashback tracked: $119.89

I actually had he price advertised in USD and used 0% tax country, but the charge on wise looks to be AUD.
(I actually wanted to compare VPNs so ok with paying $3.67, just not sure if you can really get the 100% in some way.)

    • @johnmelb You did better than me. I had purchased NordVPN twice previously with 100% cashback and had paid A$5.93 and A$5.55. I used PayPal which has a hidden conversion fee with a card without international fees (not Wise) and 0% GST country. I also received a similar amount of cashback from TopCashback.

thanks my Nord tracked last night

  • hi
i recently subscribed to Nordvpn and paid $162 via paypal. Cashback tracked at $140. if i request refund within 30 days, do i get $162 refunded?

    • +1

Depends on how you paid it (paypal conversion or card conversion).
Regardless, Nord will refund in USD, and will be converted at current rate (which might be more or may be less).
If your card has conversion fees (or you let paypal convert) - net you will have slightly less back in your account.
