"Repco Power Can Inverter 150W Modified Sine Wave
Get the power to use your small 240V lights, phones, and tablets in the wilderness, on the worksite, or anywhere off grid. An inverter is the perfect companion if you're out camping of 4WDing with your mates, allowing you to plug in and charge your laptop, or camera batteries, a pedistal fan, Travel Fridge or stereo. Essentially any small low demand 240v items for the duration of your trip.

Modified sine wave inverters produce a 240 volt, 50 Hz AC current which is similar to but not exactly the same as the pure sine wave produced by energy companies and distributed as household power. This 150w model is capable of running general low demand 240V products. For sensitive equipment like desktop computers it is recommended that a Pure Sine Wave Inverter be selected.

Features include

12V Accessories cable to plug directly into your dash accessory socket
1 power sockets - AS/NZS approved 240V socket. Inverter designed to Australian standard AS4763
Efficient design - producing low heat

I bought one to power 18V batteries on the go from the 240v charger, could be handy if you wanted to use your wall plug fast charger or something else, for $25 why not?

  • Does it site nicely in cup holder

    • “Fits into your car's cup holder”

You might need to break out the multi tool, but it will fit

      • If you read my comment properly, im asking if it sits nicely, as in not too much force to push it in or sits loosely

What's the top and bottom diameter of your cup holder?

Seen people 3d print cup holder widener and some using these connectors from Bunnings, 100 x 65mm PVC DWV Taper Level Inverts. Sure not so nice but does work.

  • Not a bad price.
Always been hesitant re these ones to drain your car battery or some other electrical issues if example overload. Got 12v fridge from jaycar and just use with my cheap lifepo4 battery. I would dbl check the socket doesn't produce power when parked. Perhaps most cars don't do this but worth checking before going away and draining battery middle of whop whop.

Might be a stupid post but so what.

  • Cool, been looking for a cheap invertor to work with my campervan solar panels. Thanks OP.
