I've recently started collecting records after finding a crate of dumped vinyl in our apartment's communal garbage area. My wallet took a bit of a hit with the recent Amazon vinyl sale, but I just couldn't resist adding Zepplin's debut album to the collection, especially considering the price.

This is my first purchase from this seller, however, they have over 3.7 million sales with 98.2% positive feedback so I was happy to take the gamble. Note - returns arent accepted, however, there's eBay's money-back guarantee.

  Been using them for years, they're massive. It's cheaper to order on their site if ordering a number of items (shipping is a flat $11.99). Postage is not tracked and, being from the UK, can take anywhere from 1-6 weeks. One order can result in a LOT of shipments, they have factories all over the place. Packaging is so-so, certainly on the cheaper/riskier end of things. Be careful with older CDs - I've received re-shrinkwrapped items that are definitely not new.

    Good to know, I'll have to report back on how it goes. I guess the benefit with eBay is you can just request a refund if the item is damaged. Is shipping still untracked when buying directly from their site?

      It's always untracked - site or ebay (I've used both). They use Royal Mail International Priority which sounds fancy, but is basic postage for businesses. They also pop up on Amazon.

        Often seen them as an alternate seller on Amazon and have only just realised I've been misreading their name all this time as Rarewares

        Ah well, the dice has been rolled, let's see how it goes! They have the same album on their website roughly 20% cheaper - not including GST (but looks like they don't collect it at check-out anyways)

          @Morefromgerry: I believe they collect VAT instead (20%) and refuse to remove it for international orders. It's baked into the prices (i.e. if you order in the UK it's the same price). So you're paying 200% GST. ;)

  Good metal bands' vinyl e.g. Black Sabbath, Accept, Draconian, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Be'lakor, NO, Iron Maiden etc. start from $50. Obsolete and very expensive way to listen to music.
