  • Would this be any faster than say a WD TV live or a Rasberri pi? Ive got my XBMC setup on an old notebook, and flies, tried a raberry pi, was not impressed, to slow to be enven usable, I do although have a large collection of media/music/videos

    • Did you have the 256mb or 512mb version of the raspberry pi?

      • I have the 256mb version and it's works fine once it's setup. Overclock it to 900mhz and disable rss. I have mine connecting to MySQL with a large library. I even got PVR working on with the mpeg2 license.

        I am using openelec as it is up to date with the latest xbmc frodo betas and updates automatically.

    If it comes with the wireless remote mouse thingie it would be a good deal. Otherwise this is pretty much a run of the mill pricing for a single core mini pc nowadays. For $20 more you would be able to get a dual core.

  • Anyone know how these devices handle multi-touch functions in games?

  • Looks like ARM is doing quite well these days :) Almost all of the $35-$50 MiniTV/PC sticks available are easily developed and poorly put together. Support is quite poor as well. Save your money and spend on something that delivers decent results, has great community and works well. Have a look here: http://www.hardkernel.com/renewal_2011/main.php

    • Looks OK, until you realise that you pretty much have to get a heap of accessories;
      - Power supply, as the unit can't be powered by USB, unlike most of these devices
      - SD card or eMMC, as it has no onboard storage
      - Wireless adaptor

      If all purchased from your link, that's another $34.. For accessories.

      See the problem here?

        It comes with a power supply which is just a USB adapter, it is only powered by mini usb, the usb port on my lg tv works just fine also so no extra wires really.

        There is no controller, but it has a usb port for a keyboard / mouse.

        Seems there's no bluetooth, my plan to use an old wiimote fails.
