Jesus christ. I don't even have a ddr5 system and I bought it.

    • +3

i have a ddr5 system and missed out.

  • what a killer deal

  • +4

7000 MT/s CL32 thats pretty good speed to timing.. But why would they add red to it. 3 colours at that… everyone knows black or white or silver…. nothing else sells as well.

    • That's why they're selling it cheap. Getting rid of stock, haha.

    • -1

      It's 7000mhz not 7000mt's

  • +1

Solid deal, welcome back @Look Up

  • -3

    no rgb :(

    • +1

You could get this for comparable price if RGB is your thing but a lot slower (I'd choose speed over lights but that's me)

  • dont need it but damnnnnn

  • +9

Wait till the missus hears how good the deal was

  • Not gonna buy it but wtf

  • +2

    $208.44?

    • +2

      I think it sold out.

      • +1

        surge pricing

  • crazy deal my dude. thanks for sharing.

  • +1

Out of stock at that price

  • +1

I put baby to snooze, I also lose

  • 2 back in stock

  • No Expo ??

Plus it's showing as $149 for me

And gone again by the time i checked for Expo

    • taking the no expo means it wont get full speeds on AMD?

      • Not 100% it will work without issues.. even some expo ram can have issues.

      • +1

        It has Expo….
But it's really just a way for easier overclocking with less chance of issues

        • cool.. i got some for a new build

  • +3

I had this in my save for later list for a long time. It changes between 150-155$. That's the normal price for it. It's not really a deal

    • +4

still a nice price though, anyways why were you hiding this ram bro

      • +1

I'm afraid to post deals; too many rules and mods are scary. For example, there was a good PSU deal; I found it, I don't know, more than a month ago. Someone else posted it weeks later and got 50+ upvotes, oh well whatever.

I agree it's a nice price, but it was like this always. Fun fact: timings for this ram were added to the description later but I figured out it was 32/34 from the product code on viper's website.

        • +4

          fun fact is epic

also with the rules to posting it aint that hard and even if u mess up the mods will fix it they dont even remove, u basically gotta make sure u name the price and product and mods usually take care of the rest honestly and you can just copy what they do for the next deal u post.

But ofc you dont have to post, aint no one forcing anyone to post anything and thats how it should be

    • Why is it so cheap compared to other fast RAM?

      • +1

Not a popular brand, but they all use the same chip under the hood.

      • Probably the colourway which would match very few systems.

  • Got it this morning

    • I cancelled my order this morning.. decided the colours werer going to bother me too much

      • Thank you :)

  • I'm a little confused..
This page says it has expo https://viper.patriotmemory.com/products/viper-venom-ddr5-pe…
But all reviews only seem to mention xmp?
    Anyone have any insight?

Cancelled to err on the side of caution…

    • It supports both (scroll further down the page). EXPO is only available on AMD Ryzen 7000 chips. If you are using Intel or non-7000 Ryzen chips, then you use XMP

      https://www.corsair.com/us/en/explorer/diy-builder/memory/am…

      • But this ram isn't on the qvl list for my mobo either…
And my mobo isn't on the qvl for the RAM

        So makes me nervous..
Already got RAM that has slight issues

        • +1

Turns out it didnt have EXPO profiles and only XMP - the XMP profiles gave me issues crashing with my 7900x. Sent back for a refund this morning…..zzz

          • @Pulseless: Which profile did you try?
I bought again this morning…. hasn't shipped yet though
Planning to limit speed to 6000 though
So web page that says EXPO is a lie?

            • +1

@Krondorf: I ran it on the 7000mhz CL32 profile - the 6000mhz profile's had worse timings. So I'm just going to buy some 6000mhz cl30 ram.

              Definitely no Expo profiles.

  • damn! missed it..
