Online Prescription Glasses

I wear progressive lenses, and they are quite expensive, so I’m looking to save some money without compromising quality.
Does anyone have any experience with purchasing online they can share please.
I’m looking for recommendations on good price and good quality.
Thanks

I just wear regular reading glasses.

I get mine through Clearly.com.au - click here for past deals

sign up for their mailing list and you get offers sent to you. or watch here for deals.

I've been happy with the 4 pairs that I have bought in the past.

Progressive lense might be a challenge to get right as they mark your pupil on the frame lens and send it away to get the lenses made to match your eye position in the frame.
I wear single vision high index lenses and had the last set made at muukal.com and am very happy with them especially for the price.

    • Yes that is my concern, and I was hoping someone may have the experience to let me know how they found them

Have purchased from Zennioptical in the past. But there is always a gamble.

Bought progressives from Zenni. I am wildly astigmatic, so there was a risk.
Specsavers was near $900 for their extremely generous two pair offer from a greatly reduced range.
Zenni came in at $A302 for single pair. I have never needed two pair.
It took a few days to work my way through the ordering process, but 6 months later I am still happy with them.
Check ther discount before you place your order. It didn't come up automatically in Checkout.
Now I am trying to find a direct China source, because that's where they all come from anyway.

Zenni always do a black friday sale. Worth waiting a month

Seems Aliexpress is about half the price as Zenni. Will gamble with that next order

My partner does this too. Her lenses are about the same price (both local and Zenni price).

She buys a few pairs at a time because of postage. Her attitude is if she buys a few pairs and one is a dud it still works out better than buying local

I use progressive, Specsavers was like $700 last year for 2 sets. Too much for my budget, so I ordered from Googles4u and paid $100 - $120 AUD for 3 pairs, including one sunglasses, those were more expensive at $50, then the others around $20-$25 plus delivery.

I bought them on a sale, they often have sales.

Good quality, I've been using them for 1.5 years now.

They have excellent customer service, they made a mistake on a tint, kept those glasses and they sent me the correct replacement completely free. Contacted them through chat, only once and got it fixed immediately. I really recommend them.

  • Thankyou for the replies. I will get me prescription before Black Friday so I’m ready to go.

  • I have purchased a pair from "Vicky Official Store" on AliExpress, the prescription sunglasses got shipped and will be arriving shortly.
It will be very interesting to compare them against my costco pairs with the same prescription.

    • Have you got them yet?

Looking at their store and the options you can choose it looks very confusing. How did you provide your prescription?

        Yes!
I ended up ordering more pairs during the black Friday sales and they recently arrived.
I highly recommend upgrading the lenses if you need to index them. I will be ordering from them in the future.

Once you have placed your order, they will contact you through the chat function.
