How about those garbage bags, has to be their bags?
Note: Expensive refills (not sure if there is a way around that).
i believe reviews also take into account how much the user paid for these.. which makes sense. but i decided to give it a go for $34.
Might be able to find cheaper refills from AliExpress, but still it's a bit fancy to me. I'd like to spend that money on something else.
Amazon seems to have 6 refills for $65… (each refill up to 25 bags)
They want to charge me $150 delivery. The bad guys can keep the rubbish….bin!
Only $10 delivery for me. Must be postcode sensitive.
I have bought a washing machine to my postcode before via Good Guys on Ebay. The delivery was only $150, which was cheap considering I live 4 hours away from a city. They honoured that error, but since then, they have charged unrealistic delivery prices to my area.
You broke the system!
@WhyAmICommenting: Yes, sorry for that.
@Thrifty Dan: Haha, doesn’t bother me but sorry for your loss!
@WhyAmICommenting: It's okay; no one died. I got a cheap washing machine. I believe there cheaper options than buying from the Bad Guys for most things I buy.
"The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to 5 hours of cordless use, while the energy-saving standby mode lasts up to 55 days between charges"
Battery life sounds terrible. I only change the eneloop batteries for our sensor bin lid once every 9 months or so.
What bin do you have? Does it seal the bags when it is full?

This video shows you some of the features. I see why its expensive.
It be good for nappies
Battery life sounds terrible.
Not sure what that quote is trying to say. It definitely lasts for weeks on a charge.
Is a neat idea but I was just looking for reviews and already found a few "how to fix" video not sure if I can be bothered fixing a bin.
I was looking for a new bin for my home office.
Was $39 after my eBay plus discount
for anyone looking to purchase the bin, the refills are also available on a bargain.

6 bags for $8, that’s not a deal
Even my simple human genuine bags aren’t that much
its 6 refills… each refill has 25 bags
Ohh my bad
OOS
All gone
Thanks OP , bought one. Looks OOS now.
TGG were selling it for $94 in-store a few months ago. I guess not enough people were convinced!
thought about it for too long.
Gone in 20 mins
Wow
Looks like trash
What kind of ozbatgainer would buy a piece of junk like this lol. Just do your rubbish the old fashioned way.
It's a luxury, like a dishwasher. You could just wash your dishes the old fashioned way, but you still use a dishwasher.
I'd argue that dishwashers are useful, and potentially use less water, detergent, etc. etc.
This "smart" bin doesn't help you anywhere near as much as a dishwasher would.
And sure, features like "overfilling protection" are nice, but surely if your lid doesn't close, take out the trash?
I can see it being a nice-to-have, but to throw it into the ring with a dishwasher, a tried and tested addition to a home kitchen… No way. They are not in the same tier.
To be fair, the smart bin would be the ultimate addition to the first share-house you're living in with your teenage mates!
Sure, but that's because you're seeing it from the perspective of a person who uses a dishwasher.
There are plenty of people who don't use dishwashers because handwashing doesn't break down or require special detergent and the startup cost is a sponge. It's very common for some cultures to use a dishwasher just as a drying rack because a sponge works fine and doesn't use electricity.
So to those people, a dishwasher is a wasteful luxury just like how this smart bin is definitely a wasteful luxury.
It's expensive to refill and is gimmicky but if cost isn't a concern, it's nice to be able to throw e.g. fruit peels, unfinished food and have it seal the bag so flies don't congregate and smells don't escape.
That lets apartment dwellers (without the luxury of a large freezer to freeze everything beforehand) collect a few bags before walking all the way down to the big bin. Not all apartment buildings have a garbage chute so it can be a bit of a walk.
Of course they could just tie up a bag tightly. People can handwash dishes too. :)
You don't need the white ring replacements. You can just buy the bags: https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006607638050.html?channel…
Stupidly, the bags alone cost just as much as buying the bags with the rings so you might as well just get the whole thing.
wow. why…even…
