That's actually nutty value isn't it?
Nutty good or nutty bad?
Sorry nutty good - That seems very cheap, I've been tracking and they've been well over $350+ for a while
Yeah agree usually around $350 for Prograde and Sandisk Extreme Pro 512GB
Recently got 1TB Lexar Professional Silver Series 1TB CFexpress Card for $307. Which was amazing value.
Yeah Lexar and some other brands like Sabrent offer better value overall. But some finicky camera enthusiasts and pro's will only use ProGrade and maybe Sandisk when data integrity and 'brand trust' is paramount.
100%. Angelbird was around $450 for 1TB. I wanted two so went with Lexar to check it out and see how it pans out. But yea na totally agree with you.
Most of them probably come out of the same factory in china anyway :D
If it's for photos only, for for video, I would still prefer multiple smaller cards, at least if it fails or if I damage it I won't lose that many photos.
Yeah depends on your use case but when I shoot sport with high speed frames, I can fill up one of these puppies fairly quickly.
My "big" Z9 batteries runs out way faster than my small 128gb CF card when I shoot 20 fps raw for birds. I carry two big spare batteries with me in the field and I could run them flat, but I haven't need to use the very light spare CF cards for a day's walk yet.
Yeah probably more waiting around with AF engaged for birds (not that Ive shot birds myself). But shoorting AFL my camera is taking shots non-stop for a few hours at 30fps :D
I run the 512GB Sandisk Pro and it's been great, but I'll grab one of these as a spare (my others are 128GB).
note this is cfexpress type b 4.0 which was released last year with faster speed, hence is more future proof
