I've bought it at RRP and it's pretty decent - only comment is to make sure you use distilled water or you'll have mineral build up. Phillips also doesn't offer spares. I've asked to get the water tank replaced and I would pay for the spare and they said nope.

Yes, as long as they fit in your shirt/pants pockets.
I use a kmart steamer
Using distilled water as OP suggests kills the deal
My one prefers Evian
Can’t you just use Brita filtered water, apologies if that is a naive question.
It's a good question, brita filters catch chlorine but leave things like magnesium and calcium behind which is what builds up as scale.
That makes sense, thanks for polite reply.
Ironing seems like an easier option now lol.
My iron also collects scale because I'm too cheap to buy distilled water.
Could you just use boiled water?
Can't you descale using white vinegar or some other gentler descaler like those for coffee machines?
This what I do with my Sunbeam. Sunbeam recommend it in the manual.
Almost bought the other steamer posted yesterday, but I think this one might be better for home use for the occasional shirt?
It's at the same price at the good guys, if anyone prefers a retail store.
Insert smug comment about excellent quality of Melbourne tap water here.
If your house constantly buying distilled water from chemist
Yes, great to use for 2-3 articles of clothing or if you need to freshen something quickly from the laundry. I use the iron if I'm doing a load.
If you have a dehumidifier, the water it collects is technically demineralized.
Brb getting a dehumidifier
The Good Guy's price beat is $54. Can use discounted gift cards (prezzee, TCN, Ultimate) to save even more.
Any good for veggies?
