Entertainment Book for Bali Trip

Howdy friends, I bought the entertainment book from the last years 99c for 3 months deal and found it to be decent value - can’t complain about the price I paid.

Now they keep sending me emails asking to rejoin. The current offer includes a $20 wish gift card - not a great offer so didn’t post as a deal, however they are offering a free multi city upgrade which includes Bali. We are travelling to Bali in a couple months so was contemplating if buying the book might be worth it, for the trip.

Anyone already has the multicity book and can share some of the deals for Bali? Or anyone has any experience using the book in Bali?

Thanks in advance!

  • 99 cents sounds like a better deal than $70. Play hard ball and wait them out.

    • I don't think the entertainment book offer gets better over time.

The 99 cent deal could come back in a month, a year, or a decade.

      • +1

and in the meantime, the offers available get less and less and less…

There are places in there that have been closed for years, yet still the offers shows up…

    • Yes - if they give it to me for 99c again - I will buy it without a doubt. 😃 $70 - may be we could squeeze that out of it - it’s not too hard but not easy either - convincing family to only eat at places accepting it

  • The current offer(entertainment.com.au) includes a $20 wish gift card - not a great offer

It also includes a free upgrade from the one city version to all of Australia and NZ.

    • however they are offering a free multi city upgrade >which includes Bali

Yes - that’s why it interests me.
Also, after posting this I was able to find vendors accepting entertainment book in Bali.

At a quick glance - max food discount is like 25% capped at $20, some of them as low as max $8 and some even saying RP 50 ( not sure what that means given that approx 10k RP = 1$ - so like 0.005 AUD?? )

To get max $20/ spend $80 - I have heard food price is much lower compared to here. Still skeptical if I will be able to get a decent saving.

Yes, but the book is for 12 months, and you can also use all over Australia, not just in Bali.

If you can't save $50 over 12 months with the book to cover it's cost, you are doing it wrong…

        • If jv reckons it might be worth it, then I can bite the bullet 😃

          • @Dealking: Don't get me wrong, the value of the book is nowhere near where it was before covid.

About 80% of the places that used to be on it are now gone, but it only costs $50 for a year and it's not hard to get that back…

            • +1

@jv: Sure makes sense - So I could just consider any additional savings in Bali as a bonus. Plus use the book for the remainder of the year at local places which still accept it - fair point.

you have convinced me - now to convince the boss at home (my wife) 😃👍

Just find a couple of local restaurants to you that accept it and you are likely to use…
Two visits should cover the $50….

We find the biggest savings are 2 for 1 attraction entries when on holidays….

There is also the Krispy Kreme offer…

            • @jv: How much do you need spend to recoup the $50 ? I'd prefer the freedom of choice but then again, a quick scan of the book before entering the restaurant might reveal a pleasant surprise. PS Bali is cheap so any extra savings is going to be minimal.
