New Phone or Repair Galaxy S20

Hi everyone, thought I would put this one out here as many of you are waaay more knowledgeable than I.

Basically - I have cracked the screen of my old Samsung Galaxy S20 and I've been quoted $370 to repair it

I have the option of a new S20+ for $480 or possibly adding a little more and getting a Nothing 2A but it looks like, aside from updates. The S20+ makes more sense (better specs, and it's basically the same phone as the one I broke but new and with a few extra bells). But I'm wondering if this is correct.

Any input is appreciated, basically I am trying to do this as cheap but logical as possible (repairing an old phone that was starting to have battery issues before cracking the screen seems not the best idea considering a new unit is not a ton beyond that cost) thoughts?

Just duct tape it—adds character and it’s free!

S20+ is getting towards the end of security updates. If updates are important, you could consider a Pixel or equivalent Samsung.

You'd also be losing the SD card moving away from the S20 line.

The Galaxy S20+ basically at the end of the software support lifecycle, and the chipset is also pretty old.

$480 is not very good value considering the Nothing Phone (2a) is $469 from Amazon Au.

hmm true but most of what i saw regarding the Nothing Phone 2a looks like spec wise it isnt as good as the s20+

S20+ battery life ain't pretty, especially won't be for a phone that's been sitting for 4 years (or if it's not actually brand new, then still as bad if not worse)
