Recommendation for a Vacuum Bag for a Mattress

I've got a double mattress I want to put into a vacuum bag. Then I can fit it under my bed.
There are a lot of brands on the market.
Can anyone recommend one?

Currently I've just got one of those clear mattress bags over it

next post from op: "recommend me a vacuum cleaner with enough suction to reduce the volume of the matres in a vacuum bag".

    • Haha I'll find a video on YouTube for that one!

I wasn't sure they are a 'thing' as what you have linked to is just a protective bag. But on googling, they are!

So just buy one and give it a go! Assuming it is a foam mattress that doesn't have springs etc.

    • If this is supposed to crush down the mattress to fit into a smaller space, isn't this going to wreck the foam?

All the mattresses in a box come like that. The foam should be ok, not sure how it would go with springs.

        • I've read from at least one of the mattress in a box places that this should be considered a temporary thing, not sure how true it is.

          • @rumblytangara: considering they Made in China, shipped by ship to Australia, and sit in a warehouse for months on end before being ordered, I'm sure they'll be ok.

            • @JimmyF: Can't remember the source, but it was along the lines of a handful of months.

If someone is storing a mattress, it's quite possibly for years.

Admittedly, the second round of compression will be nowhere near as strong without industrial machinery.
