  • Seems like good value but I have nowhere to put it.

Replace one of the walls with this tv.

How would this 86 inch compared to the TCL C855?

    • +6

C855 is infinitely better than this

      • How much is the tv?

        • +14

Only about 1.4x more… And considering it's infinity better, the value is astounding.

          • @Binchicken22: Wow didn’t realise that TCL made a good tv… i only consider sony or samsung

            • +2

@thomalfa: Mid-range and top-range TCL are amazing TVs.

            • @thomalfa: Samsung have pretty poor quality control for tvs and monitors and have beyond terrible customer support when something inevitably does go wrong, would buy a comparably priced TCL over a Samsung any day.

Sony and LG are top tier, TCL is second tier, Samsung is below TCL.

I would avoid the low end stuff like this LG nanocell from any of the big brands however, as the quality you get from going atleast mid range is massive.

@Vinodra: Second this. Got burnt by a Samsung that had a factory issue and they refused to fix it as it was out of warranty, even though it was a known defect. From then on, no more Samsung TVs and I see they have not got better.

                • @greennick: Have U tried using the ACL to get a fix post warranty?

                  • @mmd: I tried it with them, but in the end just bought a better TV. It hit that level where I CBF anymore and it was an excuse for an upgrade.

              • @Vinodra: Thanks for sharing the experience.

            • @thomalfa: What's wrong with Philips?

recently got c855, its awesome, have Google TV & all the options you'll need

Be careful with the Nanocell TV’s. They are super fragile. We put one up on the wall, it bumped and the screen was totally gone. They won’t replace for accidental damage and the repair cost is the same as a new TV. Replaced ours with Samsung

    • did it crack when bumped?

      • +1

Nope. Couldn’t see anything at all, until you turned it on and no screen

  • Sold out in 1 hour and 20 minutes?

    • there's a surprise!!

  • If you want a big tv it’s a good price but don’t expect a good picture.

LG have the worst LCDs on the market.

They literally can’t create blacks and instead you get dull greys.

Amazing OLED products but el-cheapo LCD screens.

    • "They literally can’t create blacks and instead you get dull greys." Sounds like a problem inherent in LCD technology not the TV itself.

  • it shows $3,199 for both TVs.

  • Good screen area per dollar but viewing angles for this price will not be good, especially at this size.

  • Deals gone now

  • I received this TV today.

I have to say the color is not as good as Sony TV X90J, and much much worse than LG C4…..And it’s not light enough, not dark enough. Tried to watch latest Apple TV show Bad Monkey S10, the beginning 5 minutes are disaster…. Hard to see the actors….

Tried to use AppleTV not the built in App, a little bit better….

    But it’s cheap…

  • Sad, quality for this LG is so bad :(
