In the market for a robot vacuum - came across this little unit. Apparently equal ATL price. Can probably stack with the cashrewards $5 cashback.

Interested to hear others’ thoughts on this device.

      I bought the Eufy L60 Robovac for $557 through The Good Guys Commercial to replace an old Roborock S5 Max and I’m very impressed. The bonus for me is the pet mode and auto hair cutting system for the roller (lol ve in a house of girls with long hair).

      I don't have this exact one (have the Roborock Q5 Pro) and this one here looks like an upgrade from that. I am really happy with mine. Does a great job and place is spotless after it finishes.

      Again, just assuming this one would be better than the one I have so thats my basis for saying go for it :)

      Main difference I see was:
      Suction power: 4200Pa vs 5500 Pa — is 4200 Pa sufficient for mostly floorboard and tiles homw, but with girls hair everywhere?
      Brush Type: Single All-Rubber Brush vs DuoRoller Brush - again for the above environments, worth the upgrade?
      Obstacle Avoidance : only on Q8 Max Pro - how useful is this? considering I assume modern robot cleaners would somehow have this capability.

      Appreciate any feedback.

        Most modern robot cleaners avoid objects using either their LiDAR sensors, which are usually fitted to the top of the robot and can thus not see any lower than the top of the robot; and their front bumper, which obviously relies on physically hitting the object, and thus doesn't work with objects lower than the bottom of the robot.

        Ones with "obstacle avoidance" (or similar) are using cameras with object recognition software inspecting the images either locally or in the cloud. This can then mean that your vacuum doesn't (*actual results may vary) run over that shoelace, try to suck up those doggie land mines (poo) or the latest present from your feline friend (be it partially digested fur or previously living small animal - gecko, bird, lizard, etc), etc. Shoes it would easily work around by bouncing off it's bumper (if they're low enough to not be picked up on LiDAR) but potentially not before it's tangled the lace up in the brush. The others you probably don't want to be trying to clean out of your machine.

        Having said all that, I've got a robot vacuum that doesn't have this feature because I'm inspecting the area not too long before the vacuum runs through. Thus I personally rank it as a "nice to have", and given it's generally only on higher end (read: more expensive) models, and also can increase reliance on cloud services, it's not a feature I am really looking for.

        I think Roborock's "Vibrarise" feature is exclusive to the "S" series, but I could be wrong.

    How does the Roborock Q Revo at $1199 compare ?
    It's double the price, slightly more suction. Seems to be good if mopping is required.
