The regular Moabs are $89. For hot weather hiking these are better, especially if you live in QLD etc

I thought these were for dorky guys to wear with white socks & tucked in t-shirts.

True but these are also the best value hiking shoes on the market. For day hiking with no technical scrambing these can't be beat for the price.

        • I'm looking to tackle mount nantai in Japan. All Trails suggests there is some scrambling, or I read it in the comments. Still recommend these? New to hiking. Glad I haven't pulled the trigger yet with the half price

@sephiris: If it's light scrambling/rock hopping you'd be fine. If it's free climbing then I wouldn't use these.

            • @Jacko1235: Cheers :) I don't think I'll ever be brave enough for free climbing lol

        • Agree, $89 is solid value. Looks like I irked the white sock & t-shirt brigade 😁

Shame there's nothing for those with wider feet. Find the regular size too tight for my feet.

I have wide feet. I bought Moab 2 Vent wide fit previously. Had to buy them from Amazon US - they are currently in stock but not on sale. They might have them in Merrell brick and mortar stores here

    • Agree, I was stoked to see the price and then no love for the wide feet folk, so annoying.
