It's a decent improvement over the D3000, but don't forget there's the D3200 now. All DSLRS will shoot in Raw. If you don't want to convert it, just make sure you change the settings to shoot in jpeg.
Would the DV300F shoot better images than a D3000? Generally I doubt it, but they might be pleasing enough to your eye and it's sure to be more compact which may be a plus.
DV300F was $108 at the JB-Hifi sale yesterday. Was tempted to get one but held back… temptation is back again! >:(
Officeworks have price matched the DV300F online also. I was looking at the DV300F a couple of weeks ago @ officeworks it was $126. HN also had it at $126.
The next day I decided I wanted it and it went up to $146, HN also the same day put it up to $146.
Luckily I waited cos I'll be picking it up today for $107 :D
16.1MP camera for just over $100 that's a pretty awesome deal! Just out of curiousity would that make better pictures than a D3000 Nikon? My wife bought it and it is pretty nice but the raw images are in some weird format nrf or something that have to converted.
