Those of you in the basketball and volleyball community have probably heard of these.

Way of Wade 10 shoes have caused a stir in our volleyball circles boasting carbon fibre tech that isn't seen in most shoes yet. ASICS have yet to make affordable/available volleyball/basketball shoes with carbon fibre plate.

Most retailers in Australia like intersports sell for $270. I ordered a pair of these on Friday before the sale for $223~ landed using an additional coupon. It is likely a coupon will work to bring this down even further.

Prices listed below is for the advertised price. Make sure you try some coupons to get it even lower. As far as I can tell based on my research this is Li Ning's official store on AliExpress

Avocado $192.70
Cherry Blossom $197.48
Valentine $197.48
Cold Ice $197.48
Orange, Origin, Away, Flash $207.69
City of Angels $207.69
Rainbow/Pixel $212.39

Is it real?! That's a good price if it's authentic. I've gotten 2 pairs

    • +4

It should be, official store.. I ordered from a known taobao seller on Reddit as well for around that much. I'm having trouble with the links since I'm on my phone. If a mod could help that would be great

    • It’s the official store

  • Sorry, we can't find that page.

  • Deadlinks?

    • -1

It's copying affiliate links without me doing it

  • Links should work now…

Valentine and ice isn't working for some reason…

  • So what's the code which works?

    • When you go into the listing, you can click "collect code". I'm not sure if the same code works

  • Valentine link broken

  • +1

Is it just me or this pair clearly resembles the Air Jordan Flywade 2? They're my all time favourite basketball shoes, so it's nice to see there is something similar out there for a reasonable price.

    • +1

Must just be you then. I don't see any resemblance between the two at all. Way of Wade is very well regarded for its style and performance.

      • They are both pairs of shoes, that’s about where the similarities end.

    • +2

Li Ning is basically the Chinese Nike… So makes sense.

  • +1

I hope they list their carbon fibre futsal/turf boots soon. Heard good things but they're a big hassle to get if you're not in China.

  • +6

So china has some 99.9% very convincing fakes now. Not saying that these are.

But i did buy a pair of "original" asics superblasts off aliexpress for $90 last week, the RRP on these is $350.

Honestly without seeing the video comparing the gen to the fake i would not of been able to tell the difference. Running in them is way better than my genuine nimbuses.

    • chuck us a link to the superblasts

      • Ozbargain wont let me post aliexpress links but just search original superblasts and the one thats sold 100+ is the one to go for.

Theres a video comparing them here

    • Me too please

      • See above

    • +2

Believe or not, heard that there are factories making knockoffs with better quality than the genuine ones

  • +2

    sick, grabbed a pair.

  • +2

    Thanks OP

    • +5

In our volleyball community, probably somewhere between 30-50% of players are wearing these and less than 15% wearing Nikes.

They aren't cheap and not garbage either lol.

I trust ASICS foremost but technology wise these are ahead

      • +2

Think you misunderstood. I don’t have a bad opinion of them. It’s more the typical comments for anything from China. These comments come from people with 70% of their personal belongings also being made in China without them realising

        • +1

Sorry sarcasm is quite often lost on me (ASD things)

    • the irony seems lost on most

    • +3

      Cue the rage comments

      • Nah, they want the comments to line up in a row so we can knock them down with a cue.

  • +5

Feel free to ask me questions about it. Own 2 pairs and can attest for how good they are. Actually sprained my ankle because of how grippy the traction is. LOL

    • Is It true to size? or go up half a size?
      Thanks.

      • +1

I wear 9.5 for casual shoes but for this, I picked size 10. My toes tend to be on the wider side so it's comfy. If you have a narrower feet or prefer a more snug, I'd say true to size.

Anyone care to recommend some running/cross training shoe models from aliexpress?

  • +2

actually ordered a pair from ali on Wednesday… snapped a tendon in finger playing on Thursday.. guess they should arrive before i can play again in 6 weeks

    • Sorry to hear about your finger… I'm quite excited to experience what all the fuss is about!

      • Goat bball shoes for me. I was told to only buy the high tops from some dude who owned 21 pairs of them… Let me know if you got the lows!

  • +4

Lining's running shoes are actually super value for money, there are many top quality and affordable sports products from Lining, hope they can reach consumers outside China more easily.

    • Any specific models you'd recommend?

      • +2

Mine is called Feidian 3 Challenger, I think it's up to Feidian 4 series now?
Challenger - I believe is the entry level, which is already a carbon plate ultra light race shoes.
Just googled it, more reviews than I thought.

ERKE Zhijing is another amazing running shoes in Chinese community, but it's probably even hard to get overseas.

      • +1

Lining yueying 4. If you like carbon fibre running shoes, try Xtep 160 or feiying pb

        • Yeah I have heard of the Feiying PB, but I need to run a lot more before I buy another pair haha

  • +2

Largest size available is UK 12? They are basketball shoes!

    • Asian feet are typically small haha.

For the record I'm Asian so speaking from experience

  • +2

Basketball shoe, but sizes only go up to 13……

    • +4

They're the official shoe of Dwayne Wade…

      • -5

        Sponsorship is one thing.
        Ask anyone on the street…

        • +2

I don't follow basketball and dont care much for it, I bought these because literally everyone I know in my volleyball community who has these rave about them saying its the best shoe among all that they have tried, and they have technology in the shoe thats not available from any other vendors yet.

Sponsorship only gets you so far, not that many willing to risk their knees and ankles on a celibrity's name…

    • +4

Literally all basketball and volleyball kids know this. We are going to China in Dec, and my son has a long order list from friends.

      • I had a contact from China look into the LiNing official stores there, they're $300 AUD~. Cheaper buying from their aliexpress store.

  • bought the blue ones for a mate, not sure about the red on it though :O

    • A friend of mine bought the ice blue, I really like that one. The red is a nice touch, on the inside.

I ordered that one in 7.5, which is the biggest size I could wear.

Had to order 7s from taobao

    • +1

Nice! Can I also be your mate? 😅

  • Anyone also a wide footer & have these or ordered? I want these badly but from the reviews it does seem these aren't wide foot friendly.. (I'm a 12 so unfortunately there is no 12.5 only 13 etc.)

    • Im a wide 11-11.5US and have been wanting these for a long time. Unfortunately ive yet to come across any reviews convincing me that these will cater for my feet.

      • +1

I am a slightly wide us7.5. For this shoes, I have to go half size up to avoid hurting my toe. Would not say this is wide foot friendly.

  • nice price.

  • It’s aud$300 in China. Prefer to buy from Li Ning store.

    • This is their official store on Aliexpress. Might save you carrying multiple shoes back for your friends!

  • According to some of the reviews, these shoes make a clicking noise not unlike the click of a woman's heels.

It won't stop me from rocking these 24/7, but if you're insecure about your masculinity it's worth taking note. :p

    • Thats an interesting point, I havent personally noticed any clicking noises when people around me wear them. The squeaks and screech of the grip on the court is much more obvious

      • +2

They might have been talking about the the carbon fibre plate at the heel of the shoe? Whatever the case, I'm hyped for my black/gold pair.

        • Lakers colour scheme? the "away"?

        • Yeah I could see how that would happen, but when I inspected these shoes in person, there's a significant amount of tread on the shoes, the gap is about 5mm-1cm, so it's a bit weird.

That being said, the CF plate does make the sole much stiffer than other shoes

    • +1

those insecure about their masculinity probably wouldn't be looking at a pair of Chinese shoes anyway and strutting around in AirJordans

      • +1

Because AirJordans arent made in china right? hehe

      • +6

That kind of person doesn't wear jordans for playing basketball, but uses them for walking through Macdonalds car parks

        • Team it up with my recently bought tomtoc pack and I'll be Eshay bruh

  • +2

Not sure if it's up anyone's alley but i just bought the way of wade lining 808 III ultra v2. Amazing bite and used for both volleyball and basketball on dusty courts(what counts most!). I test trialed these compared to the All city 12/Fissions aswell. Can get them at throwbackstore aswell locally for same for sydney siders.

  • +1

Mine just arrived today, they look like every other pair of wow10s ive seen that others have. Traction is insane, super squeaky.

Would recommend going half size up in future for everyone who buys, they were a bit tight getting in (even getting half size up)
