Price has gone up to $181.48 but I believe still a bargain. If you are new Temu user, you can use code aci384098 for $40 off.

Popular affordable robovac with Lidar function. Have been using this since September last year and is still happy with its performance.

I believe it's the lowest ever under $200 price and if you have Temu coupon from playing the game, you can bring it down another $30-40 extra. I've bought another one for my family with $40 off coupon and pay only $117.85 with Temu credit. Super Bargain!

It's shipped from local warehouse, took less than 3 days to arrive.

Quick before it's gone!

  • Got one 2 days ago for $131 after coupons. Cant complain

  • Received at lunch time. Super fast delivery 👍

    • You getting the station for $160 as well? I can’t decide.

      • Where is the station

        • Currently on ozbargian listed on Amazon for prime sales at $160

      • A station would be a good idea. I will check out. Not sure why they are selling this model at such low price with Cashback. I bought one a year ago at $230 and thought that was a good deal. Now it’s like less than $100 if Cashback is honoured.

  • Can you use this without having to hook it up to the internet?

    • Yes I used it for several days without installing the app or connecting to WiFi. If you press the start button on top it will still map the house into rooms.

      The algorithm goes like this:

Back up from dock and scan room with LIDAR to save dock position relative to room.

From the dock, anti-clockwise around the perimeter of the whole house, with bumper around any invisible obstacles (glass door etc) to map house.

Room order is anti clockwise from dock, lidar perimeter and large obstacles, bumper nav clockwise around table legs etc.

It will back up if it stops moving, whether or not the wheels stop. It will stop the brushes if they get caught on something and reverse, but if it completely eats a cable it will turn off.

Preference to sweep lengthways starting perpendicular to the wall where the dock is. Small areas will generally be skipped until after the main long sweeps are done.

The vacuum strength will automatically switch to high when on carpet.

It will bump shoes around a little bit but not across the whole room.

It will aggressively attempt to sweep as much as possible around a dining table and chairs, it spends too much time under there in my opinion. Perhaps the newer firmware updates I have declined have a lazier "table and chairs" algorithm.

Sweep until all areas of all rooms are complete, or battery is too low then return to dock.

I was pleasantly surprised with how "smart" the algorithm was without the app, as I was led to believe all the "smarts" was done on the app. Actually all the algorithm and mapping is computed on the vacuum.

If you do not install the app it will keep broadcasting it's own Smart Life AP attempting to connect to the app.

I was also very hesitant to download the app and make an account and connect to WiFi because I object to "cloud requirement" on principle, however you can now actually use the app without an account if you select "Try as guest".

When I did end up trying the app, I could see that the vacuum had gotten confused with me picking it up and moving it while running a few times, and some rooms were duplicated and overlapping in some confusing mess. That explained why it kept going back and re-sweeping rooms several times.

It would eventually recalculate and sort itself out over a few days however, obstacles have a "stickiness" and will fade away from the map if they are no longer present after a few tries.

If you setup the app but block the device from internet access, the app will stop working. It appears that the all communication to the vacuum happens via cloud instead of local network however the start button on top will still perform the regular routine, if you move it while running the map will get messed up and run until the battery is empty then trace the perimeter until it finds the dock.

I was also very interested to know how well it would work without the app so I hope this information helps future buyers. In theory it is possible to hook up to my Home Assistant server with Localtuya but that seems like a whole ordeal so I have given in and have had continued to use the app, with as many Android permissions disabled as possible.

I bought mine recently on eBay for $215 and have been very happy. I will order a big bag of spare consumables on AliExpress to have ready should anything need replacing and can hopefully change out the rechargeable battery in a few years - haven't investigated that part actually. Next project is to run a small strip of frosted tinting I have spare across the glass doors at LIDAR height so it doesn't bump along the invisible "wall" there - small optimisation 😁

I did not buy the auto empty dock yet, so far every single run has led to a full bin but I'm hoping after all the carpet under the beds etc is fully clean it won't be as much, plus it's good to check underneath for tangled hair/strings frequently/every time anyway

      • Woah. Thanks so much for this. That's exactly answered so many questions I've had about them in general.

  • +2

Ordered the SL60D as I wanted the dual brush, and the sent me the SL61 :( Should I be fearing the process to rectify this, as I certainly don't want the SL61? I've received an offer of a partial refund of $31.57, which I doesn't tempt me into keeping it.

    • Same boat :(

      • I have the SL60D with the dual brush.
        Check the algorithm/how it vacuums.
If it keeps the brush to the wall side then I wouldn’t worry about chasing it up. But if it follows the wall with the non-brush side then it’s really worth getting the correct model.

    • Im in the exact same boat. What did you do to be offered $31 partial refund?

  • Hi Team, using it first time, I have been hearing all maps issue. Can someone guide how to proceed? What need to be taken care of? and how to use it for best outcome?

    • mine mapped the house just fine, I just put it down and let it do it's thing. Brought it up stairs, it detected a new area and created a separate map.

    • What's been the actual issue with the map? After the first scan and setup mines been great.

  • For $118, this has gone into my OzBargain hall of fame purchases. I'm so happy with it - now just to keep an ear to the ground on the auto empty station.

  • Worth paying the extra for the auto empty docking station?

  • I have the white SL60 that I bought when it's $157.85 I'm about to refund as I've since bought another one with bigger coupon code. I'm in Sydney if anyone want to buy this of me and save my time going to post office.

  • Any deal on the dock? Aud 159 on amazon

  • Shame all the listings that were up for SL60D/SL61 now only shows SL61. I can't find any Temu listing for just the SL60D (excluding the plus which you pay extra for the self empty charge station combo).

Anyone bought any other robot vacuum cleaner from Temu that they would strongly recommend? I don't need one with a mop function actually, was just aiming to for the SL60D due to all the recommendations here.
