Vintage: 2022 was a wonderful vintage in McLaren Vale. Mid-winter rainfall was above-average and a few riverside vineyards also received a small flood giving the soil a good soak. The mild season and moderate crop allowed a long ripening period to produce wines with good intensity and acid.
Winemaking: Crushed and destemmed. Static stainless steel fermenter. The grapes spent 9 days on skins. 100% Seasoned French Oak Hogsheads.
Nose: The nose offers aromas of plums, dark cherries and subtle spices with a trace of mint.
Palate: The palate is medium-bodied with great flavours of dark fruits including plums and cherries with complex notes of spice and chocolate, finishing delightfully smooth and lingering.
Cellaring: Drink now to 2034
