Anyone Know if You Can Book Multiple Flight Classes on The One Booking? (Ie Eco+Business Seats on Same Booking)

So planning my first redemption flight with a family. I'm used to easily finding availability for 1 seat…lock it in…lets go!

But now realising it's pretty tricky with 3+

So wondering how you go about booking, say 2 Economy tickets and 1 business seat in one hit (as that is all that is available on that flight). Finding only 2 seats max per category pretty common.

I don't want to do 2 seperate bookings incase the other seat sells out between the booking.

I rang QF support today…and she was less than useless…

Just to remove all confusion, I'm talking mixed classes on the same leg. ie MEL - SYD (2 eco + 1 business).

Cheers

  • I'm sure the misso would love to be in business class while you and kid travel freight. I'm not sure what the problem is here, what is stopping you from booking multiple seats?

    • It’s only a domestic flight, book two different itineraries.
Business class not really worth it for a 1 hour flight, especially with the family in economy.

      • Only using business as it's the only availability (redemption flights). The domestic was just an example. But planning next year. So have a Radar on Japan, NZ, Singapore, Cook Islands..and domestic.
Coming from ADL ..there is never 3+ seats.

Whos flying business? Tell us tell us

    • The kid

    • Plan - Mum/ Dad business. Child in Eco… But I will sit in the Eco seat for take off/ landing while Mum and little one enjoy the Memosa and juice. Boarding pass will have my name, but they won't know who's name is who's. Then after takeoff, move up to Business during flight and share seat with the little one. No one is sending a 4yr old back with themselves..and if they do…still a win… hahahaha!
      Don't need business,…but it's all that's available.

But yep.. possibly their first ever Int flight…and it may be Business. Ive done more than 40 trips around the sun…never been in an int business seat.

      • How old is the child?

        • 4, so unfortunately not an on lap infant. But plenty of room to share a wider business seat after take off. Was going to simply book a child seat in business…but I might have a scotch or two up there…so better have my name on the seat, and do a switcheroo after take off…

    Not possible

  • Not that I have ever seen.
U can't even book 2 economy class tickets that are different fare types

    • I wonder why?

      • upsell

        • But it's a no sell if the plane is full and there is only mixed cabin left…

          • @tunzafun001: Plane is not full. They make more money selling those seats to people with cash. Just look at the seat selection map.

            • @askbargain: I'm looking at redemption flights, and there is only a mix left. Going to call QF again and see if I get a different response.
