14” Laptop Recommendations - Budget $650

Hey guys!

• After a laptop around 14” for general use.

• At least 512gb would be nice but open to options.

• Would like something with dedicated gpu if possible.

• Budget: $650

  Dedicated GPU under $650 definitely means used or refurbished.

  Why a dedicated GPU for just general use?

    I don’t entirely know lol, just speed I guess but integrated would probably be fine.

      You planning to play games on it? It won't help with the day to day snappiness of the machines if that's what you're wondering

        No games, just knowing it has the capability should I download any demanding software but that probably doesn’t make sense hahahaha.

  Don't see an OS preference but I'd suggest a used m1 macbook air, I can see them going for $600-700 on ebay with 512GB.

  I wasn't a massive apple fan and use an android phone and windows desktop but the laptop experience on apple silicon is very nice especially for this price. Should have at least few years of updates left and the screen / battery / keyboard are very nice for this price plus putting it to sleep is way better then sleep on windows in my experience (that may be changing with arm windows machines but they seem quite a bit more expensive at the moment).

  You can run parallels or another VM software for windows apps with decent performance if required.
