I think I have exactly this set. Works great, still annoyingly a proprietary charge port but what's new…

Lasts for damn ages to the point where I forgot what the charger even looked like and had to google it.

had this one for a while and dang if it isnt good, no wonder it tops the list of best shavers, works great on body hair but just gotta be careful….

    • +1

fitting name to be telling us to be careful

  • Does this come with an international charger?

    • I doubt it. EU plug probably.
There's USB cords floating around out there, I'll probably buy one if the plug doesn't work when mine gets here.

    • Comes with the euro plug which is a pain as you need an adaptor to charge it up.
Saying that, the battery time is fairly good so recharging is more like a weekly event at this stage.

Has anyone found a compatible third party USB cord on eBay?

      • +1

I bought a cheap compatible mains charger from Amazon AU. There is no doubt you should be able to find a compatible USB cord on Amazon or eBay, also.

Nice find OP, think I paid a bit less than that for a much smaller package(no charging base, hard case and one less attachment too.

Just for those interested - this is not a razor. Don't expect to get a completely clean shave. Its just an interestingly designed trimmer that allows you to get as close to a full shave as you will get from a device that isn't either a razor or one of those button/rotary type shavers(where you need to pretrim for effectiveness anyway). So don't go into this thinking you will get a clean shave. Having said that, its bloody awesome as a beard maintainer, the nice skinny head means you can do quite effective lines and it means you can essentially use it like a razor - if you are prone to ingrown hairs this will help negate that as it wont shave right to the skin.

Bit of a ramble but I see the razor complaint every time this gets posted so I just want to clarify this won't give you a fully clean shave even though the design may hint to that. Battery life is good, I took it to europe for a month and didn't need to charge it at all, clipper effectiveness started to drop at about 50% battery and the heads last about 3-4 months - with use as a body and face trimmer.

Contrary to what most people say, I got this one and I'm a tad disappointed with the performance. It doesn't shave that well and you need to do multiple passes to work.

The attachments are borderline useless. And the blades don't last long.

    • +1

It's terrible as a shaver. Takes 20 minutes to make it feel like I've shaved 8 hours a go. Blade lasts about a week if I use it as a shaver.
      Great trimmer though

  • How often do the blades need to be replaced?

  • +2

I don't have this exact model but have been using a OneBlade for a few years.

I have some issues with it, but can't see myself going back to actual razors. The OneBlade is so much faster to get 90% of the result of a razor, plus it can trim my moustache, and then I pop on the adjustable guard thing and trim my beard. No need for multiple items. Also works great on the undercarriage if you're careful (don't forget to use different blades for face and downstairs).

Downside is the blades don't last super long and they're pricey. I've tried third-party options and they're awful. And proprietary charger sucks for travel, but battery lasts for weeks so I just leave the charger at home.

So if you don't need a completely clean razor shave I'd highly recommend.

  • This is a really good price!

  • Cheap product but subscription service blades.

I still have the istubble from conair/vs sassoon from circa 2010, battery has all but degraded but has lasted the time test. No idea on what is the next most similar trimmer once this finally dies.

    • Unless you are buying those single razors everything is gonna be a subscription service blade essentially

      • Thats infuriating though, ive only ever been a removeable blade clipper type of user, but I'll maintain the blades religiously.

    Definitely recommended.
I use this on my ball bag with no cuts or nicks.
The smaller sized head also reaches into some other spots hair grows out of.
It takes my mother-n-law a while to do my back though.

    • +1

Bro, do you use this on your face as well as your back, sack and crack?

      • +1

        I don't, my mother-in-law does for me.
Hmmm. That might explain that rash…..

  • How is it on the Sack and Tip?

    • very carefully

      • Username checks out.

  • Just be aware you need to replace the blade every couple of months. Better off getting a decent shavey with a self-sharpening permanent blade when you calculate the costs IMO.
