Village Cinemas Website Didn't Accept Part Payment with Gift Card

Hello all, I've bought a $30 Village Cinemas gift card on Shop Back, Gift card arrived - no issues.

And I'm trying to book tickets at Village Cinemas website using gift card and remaining payment would like to pay with credit card (Total tickets cost $49).

But at payment step when I enter gift card number/PIN and click submit then it says, "Insufficient Balance Insufficient balance on the Gift card".

Anyone else has same issues?

I used to pay like these many times in the past :(

    Have you checked the balance on your gift card, using your online account (Village rewards)?
    How long ago did you purchase the gift card from Shopback?

      Checked balance - it says some error occurred. Reached out to Shopback/Village cinemas support.

        They should be able to resolve the error or reissue the gift card.

    Should work in person. These sort of cards are pain to use and often not worth the hassle for such a small saving.

    Did u just buy it today? On the shopback page it says to please allow 24 hours for the gift card to be active

    I am having the same issue with gift card purchased from Redeem my Giftcard. I am guessing it's the 24 hour activation issue as one of you have suggested, because I have encountered an error when checking for balance on the Village website.
