magisk hide?
If I assume your phone is r00ted, which are you using - Magisk, KernelSU, etc. ?
There are some techniques around this.
Also, do you use any ad-blocker or VPN?
magisk with play integrity fix and shamiko

also tried adding hidemyapplist and bypassrootcheckpro lsposed modules
i have adaway in stalled but disabling it doesn't help
See if you can find the Momo.apk
that shows you what feature-sets are turned on/off.also tried adding hidemyapplist and bypassrootcheckpro lsposed modules
For Magisk, try enabling Zygisk (or Zygote? whatever it's called) within Magisk too
If that doesn't work, use MagiskHide to rename the App.
Otherwise, use Magisk Canary, and try above steps.
Even more otherwise, try Lygisk (if you're on LOS-base ROM),
because I've found Lygisk to work quite well too.i have adaway in stalled but disabling it doesn't help
Yes, I was going to mention this.
I found out, in an 'accidental' way, that Adaway was the reason, YahooMail would not work for me.
To fix the issue.
I stopped Adaway.
Installed YahooMail.
Initial login worked.
Then, started Adaway.
YahooMail worked after that.Try NextDNS instead of AdAway. I used AdAway long time ago. But NextDNS is much better with many more filters and other features. Certain filter blocks domain related with Yahoo Mail, can be disabled in NextDNS.
I use Adguard app and combined with NextDNS for DNS in Adguard app.
@neoleo: Thank you for this suggestion.
I tried AdAway, with some other list of addresses (other than 'default') and I found that it blocked some more URLs that weren't before.
In any case, I'm keen to try out NextDNS too.
PS:
I tried Adguard a few years ago, for some days, before uninstalled it.
I think there was a paid version too, and I didn't want to pay then.
I'll give that a try too (and also willing to pay, if it's 'good enough')@whyisave: Free NextDNS is good enough for most people. If you use android, you can install the app manually from other websites as the official app is not in Google Play Store anymore because the developer hasn't updated the app for some time, lol. Even you can put specific DNS from your NextDNS account into router or any devices that have DNS in the settings.
Free account is limited to 300k queries a month, more than enough for personal use or small family. You can have 1 account to manage multiple devices and even see the log history of your devices. Parental control is available too.
i thinks they do someone besides safetynet. magisk doesn't help. maybe scanning for certain files or trying certain things that are blocked on a rooted phone
yeah pretty sure this is it. it either throws an error about a modded phone or if you hide things it crashes instead. just wanted to see if anyone has had any success with getting it to work.
If "your phone is r00ted", time for a new phone?
I only buy phones that I am able to r00t !
Is it something to do with play integrity?
I had trouble with my Google wallet on my rooted phone then installed play integrity fix in Apatch and it fixed it.
You probably aren't passing Google's SafetyNet feature. An app like this one will confirm that. Not sure what the process is to pass it these days, I gave up Custom ROM-ing/rooting because Google makes it such a pain, fixes constantly break and change. Best to check your device page on XDA.
