Citizen Eco-Drive BL8160-07X 42mm Perpetual Calendar Sapphire Watch $349 ($329 w/ Sign-up) Delivered @ Watch Depot

131

Daily deal and I don't know when WD will pull the deal.

I have this watch because I had to use my $150 Shiels voucher, and I don't have many brown dials. It has a leather deployment strap that's not complete garbage. It has a sapphire crystal. It has a perpetual calendar so you'll never have to change the date. I paid around $400. $329 is a great price for a watch with these specs.

  • Accuracy: ±15 second/per month

  • 100 Meters Water Resistant

Good specs, but it is very brown.

      I feel attacked.

I've been thinking about putting a beads of rice bracelet on it. I also have one that's very blue.

      • That brown watch is looking so much better in your picture than the stock photos - it is actually gorgeous.

Hmm I don't have a citizen, solar and brown dial watch…. tempting lol.

        • That's true the stock photos don't do it any favours.
Still a kind of big looking watch this style.

          • @G-rig: Perhaps we need rosebank to do some wrist shots with the watch :D

@kolorijo: Worth trying on if you near da shops, some may stock it

Very nice features, shame about the earthy colour :)

earthy colour is a very polite way to say what it looks like.

Buyer beware. Please don't trust this website. I bought a 'brand-new' Citizen Eco-drive watch from them in a previous 'deal'.
The watch arrived DOA. The watch wouldn't charge after 2 days of solar charging (on a window with direct sunlight from dawn till dusk for 2 days). Couldn't even get the hands moving.
I took the watch to an authorised repair shop & they told me that the battery & charging component died due to an extensive period of inactivity.
Quoted cost to replace the parts was going to be from $500-700. I paid $400 for the watch FML
I contacted the seller Watch Depot by email but have yet to receive any response (it's been over 1 month since the email was sent).
Just beware that you might also get a dud.

      Have you called them?

      • +1

Haha heaven's forbid you'd have to pick up the phone or talk to someone 😂.

    • +2

Citizens come with 5 year warranty. If they sent you a dud and haven't refunded or replaced it after emailing them, that's horsehit.

@Mike-f may be able to help you. DM him.

Why wait a month for a DOA watch? If I didn't get a response in a week I would be trying a different contact method. FFS

Yeah I think for this kind of issue, if I hadn't received an email response within 1-2 business days then I'd be calling.

    • Do a chargeback.

  • It's showing $425 to me. Am I missing something?

  • Deal gone now.

But if you still want a brown-adjacent watch with sapphire, they've replaced it with the Seiko Land Tortoise SRPG17J @ $375.

Here is a nice review of it: https://wornandwound.com/editorial-the-seiko-srpg17-land-tor…
