Supplements for Sleeping Tight at Night

Hi there every day after work, I have a couple of drinks (red wine), which helps me to sleep until around 2AM. Then I have to wake up and take a pee. Then I stay awake for the next 1 or 2 hours, before falling sleep again.

Are there any supplements, or health tips, which can help me sleep tight for the whole night?

    Half glass of warm milk, then hnky pnky, wnk, jrk. Guarantee, you sleep all night well.

    Shift worker on very bad roster here.
    Melatonin has changed my life for the better.
    Hasn't helped other people I know, but I swear by it.

  • How active is your mind when you go to bed / back to bed at 2am ?
    And do you subconsciously tense any muscles in your body while hoping to go back to sleep ?

    First think through the muscles in your body to check you’re not tensing them. Then do the calming the mind breathing technique and then think something very boring like your breathing but make it simpler & simpler until it’s just, “ in out “ and maybe like me, “ in, out, nose”.

    It can feel very boring thinking like that if it takes some time but with your mind working so slowly and so close to the slow sleep working state eventually you wake up later and realised, it worked.

    Herbs work but you will gain tolerance/reliance quickly

  • Black out curtains ($19 from ikea) have been a godsend for me.

  • I was in your shoes only earlier this year and have since moved to an area with colder climate (Ballarat VIC). Slept like baby ever since - needed no supplements sleeping tablets whatsoever.
