After talking with multiple people I think it’s being sent to people who don’t have Coles app on their phones (they must be able to tell somehow) as it’s being sent to people who use Coles online and have their flybys linked and it was sent to me who although I activate all the flybys offers I don’t tend to shop at Coles much unless there’s a big offer combined with specials ect and I didn’t have a Cole’s account at all. The only person in our group who wasn’t sent the offer already had the Coles app and uses it to order online reasonably often so remember kids it pays to be a bad customer and if you are a good customer they don’t care about you ;)
I have the app but don't use it. My husband doesn't have the app and didn't get it either
Ok well, I guess my conjecture was based on a sample size of only about 7 people so I better get back to the drawing board lol
TBH who knows how Flybuys/Coles decides who to give offers to, I always miss out on the free sample offers even when they are in a product group I buy quite often yet it’s given to others who never buy it. Very confusing.
Do you have to activate a new offer after doing the link or it applies to any already activated ones?
I think you have to activate a new offer from the Cole’s app after you download and link your flybuys. I only had fuel offers so I activated one of those but I’ll activate the next offer I get through the Coles app to be safe.
Oops finally received a new offer and activated from the flybuys app like usual instead.
I hope the 2000 points are awarded simply for activating the offer, without requiring any further action
does it work for new downloads of coles app?
Once you download the app and link your flybuys account to get the 2000 points, do you still also get the offers via email?
Can you uninstall the app and go back to email offers?
Have the app and have always got offers via email.
I’m not sure but I’m assuming offers will continue to come through via email, the offer ends on 13/10 so I’m going to keep the app installed until then to be safe after which I’ll probably delete it. Getting the email/sms notifications can be turned on/off in settings I’m pretty sure (it definitely used to be unless they removed that option)
