How to Setup PayID Option as Seller on my WordPress eCommerce store

I noticed that Launtel accept payid:

I was curious if anyone knew how to setup this payment process on website as one of payment options? I have simple wordpress ecommerce store. This should be more common options for online purchases especially shopping. You can offer discount to customers as save on credit card fees.

There are two things that are going on here:

A. They automatically generate a unique payid email for each client (see screenshot)
B. They track as soon as payment is made to that client. Then they know that it has come through.

Just curious if anyone has experience in intergrating in their online business.

Looks like there's a few offerings and examples of implementation you can look at

    • Thanks. This has middle person like Monoova and Azupay. They actually charge lot of fees and ends up being more expensive that credit card. That's why you only saw this payment option for Cyrpto. I was surprised to see Launtel offer it.

Hence i was curiosu to know if people know more and if things changed that made this more accessible.

  • just set your business account up as payid. email works fine.
unless your doing thousands of transactions a day, it should be simple enough to reconcile when someone uses that method to pay.

    thats what we do :)

    • Is it worth it though? If it costs you more sales because some people would prefer to use their card, then wouldn't it be better to just use a merchant bank account to accepts cards on your website? Presumably the margin of the product is worth a lot more than the card fees.

And to take it further, if you don't offer PayPal and you only accept cards, would that cost you sales? And what about Afterpay…

Plus you, or your staff, have to manually reconcile every single sale?

      • its just another option. whether people use it or not.
Have that, CC, paypal, pay in 4 etc etc.

        gives the customer all choices.
