for bass lovels soundcore space A40 for $76.50 ($84.99 - 10 % for welcome to soundcore coupon) is abetter choice than Jabra 5

    • any good for calls in noisy environments?

    • They are really good for the price, sure you can get more natural sounding mids for $100-$200 more but for $80 the A40s are great.

ooh what are we up to now for Jabra now? I've got the Jabra Elite Active 65t and loved it but have now moved to iphone and use airpods and sometimes its not the same :(

    Still good but different kind

Elite 4 and 5 are quite old. Elite 10 gen 2 and Elite 8 Active gen 2 are the latest models.

For comparison: Elite 7 Active for $167 delivered from Jabra (I have them and they're great). Elite 8 Active gen 2 currently $249 from JB.

One thing to note: Jabra is getting out of the earbud market. The current generation is the last they will make.

Oh no I love my Jabras so sad to see them go fr

Dangit I got the 4 Actives for $85 from Amazon with a $15 off promo, probably would have got the 7s at that price instead.

This is their latest and greatest:

      https://www.jabra.com/en-au/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-8…

Sad to hear that it'll be their last, with their exit from consumer earbuds/headphones.

Yeah thankfully they'll probably still be supporting them warranty and product wise for a while.

Doubt Jabra themselves are going anywhere

@Telios: Yeah the article suggest they're just getting out of an unprofitable product category.

Good deal. I've needed a spare set of Elite's for a while, and this is a pretty decent price. Thanks OP.

    $79 at JB

I bought some Jabra elites a couple of years ago and they died within 5 months of very mild use. I was able to get a refund through Amazon, and the cheaper SoundPeats I replaced them with are soldiering on (albeit with the need to do an annoying hard reset and re-pair every couple of months).

My wife ran over my Jabra Elite 7 Active case with the car when I dropped it in the garage. It survived (losing just a fragment of plastic) and continues to charge my earbuds to this day.

        Robust!

I told Jabra on Twitter and they said they don't recommend doing this :)

    • Low key I've had 2 sets of soundpeats die on me. Their customer service was great. Just got the Jabra elite 4 in hope they last longer cause I CBF with returns.

I was hoping Jabra was more of a brand name so they'd last longer even if the specs aren't great for the price point. Was actually thinking about getting Sony but there was a deal on Jabra.

Don't think it was a great call. All of these things seem unreliable.

      • Yeah it feels like a product category that is still really buggy. Before the Soundpeats I had a pair by Creative that were also really problematic and were cactus about 12 months in. I endure the hard resets on the Soundpeats with a "well, I know it could be worse" spirit. At least 30 months after purchase they're still going, and they only cost $63.

  • Currently have moondrop space travel, would this be an upgrade? How does this compare with moondrop space travel?

  • How does Jabra Elite 5 compare to Elite 10?

  • How long can a full charge last?

  • In ear buds caused my tinnitus, look into it

    • I’ve been using in ear buds for 10 years .

As long as you don’t blast it high it should be fine

  • I have Samsung buds 2. They're good for music and comfortable but lousy for calls. Anyone know how these compare?
