You needed to cure your wood?

"reversing the deterioration process by restoring the integral strength". Ridiculous statement! Rotten is rotten. It deterioration cannot be reversed, only slowed or stopped.

    • Guessing it's some sort of resin and small fibre that penetrates the wood pores and the old wood basically becomes the core wood.

Kind of like a snowboard/ wake board. Piss weak piece of balsa wood covered in glass becomes ridiculously strong….

..but I'll stick to new wood for anything remotely structural.

      • You mean, wood like this: https://ibb.co/Bq7x3Rd Fix that Betta Wood Cure!

Original owner spent on an architect and scrimped on a builder.

        • More of a termite..non treated situation there..

          • @tunzafun001: No. The builder couldn't be bothered getting the flashing right. Windows and doors were leaking water through frames With timber windows and doors, it was always a matter of time.

My mistake was relying on a 'professional' to do the inspection instead of taking a 500km+ trip to inspect personally.

We’ve updated stock now that we are back in the warehouse, there’s a few still remaining

      • @DIYcharcat Getting any more op?

  • Is this meant to replace the use of a wood stainer/oil, or as a pretreatment before using a wood stainer?

I have a patch of stained timber decking that’s more exposed to the weather so the original stain/oil has eroded and the exposed timber is now showing signs of dark water caused staining/mould?

Does this product go directly onto that, to fix it, or am I best to sand it all back and stain the whole deck again? It’s a big deck so if this does a good enough job then I can live with that solution for several more years.

Is it thick or runny? How hard is it to apply and how much coverage will 4L give me? I also have a 1.8m * 20m wooden fence I’d like to coat.
