    • Target don’t allow free OnePass shipping on clearance items

good deal for sure. free shipping with one pass would be cherry on top.

There is free shipping with $60 spend if you needed anything else from target on catch

    Same price in store.
Thanks, heading to local today anyway.

  • would the queen fit a king sized bed?

  • +2

Been using these this year - good value and a game changer (dunno why I didn't consider fitted electric sheet for the longest time) but the junction of the cord on the sheet is not in the best place, I can feel it sometimes. Could fit the sheet upside down to have the junction near my feet but then changing the temp just before sleep would be a bit of an inconvenience.

    • I have also had this issue with much more expensive ones. It's not so bad if you have a king size bed.

      • I do. Still there. Probably depends a lot on sleeping position.

  • Many thanks OP. Three Queens for 39 bucks delivered is pretty dam good.

  • +1

Thanks OP, had to pay for delivery charge twice as initially I bought the queen size and the double was sold out earlier then it restocked

  • looks like queen and doubles sold out

  • All are out of stock.
Edit - Nvm, all now shows back in stock. Good work, Catch.

    back in stock

  • Check your local Kmart, bought one for $2 on clearance the other day, they only had single size though. They also had wool blankets for $20.

  • I ordered like 15m ago and already received my refund.

DON'T BOTHER ORDERING ONLINE (even if it claims to be back in stock).

I'm the first to jump on a bargain, but… if I'm putting a blanket laced with electrical wires, designed to get hot, under me, while I sleep… I'm a little hesitant to go with a brand known only for ultra-cheap quality…

    • +1

For this exact reason, I only purchased to preheat.

      • Hope it's on a timer. Doesn't take much to forget to turn it off.

        • Good idea to have it on a timer (if it doesn't have one in-built anyway). We have a ritual before bed to get the room ready, turn on oil defuser, take care of any other bits, put the animals to bed/have a smoko outside and then sleep. I'm a carer for my old man so I tuck him in to bed every night, will have to remember to turn it off but it'll be hard to forget because he'll probably mention every single time he gets into bed, how toasty it is now.. 😅

I'm just hoping that 15 - 20 ritual will he enough time for this thing to warm up enough. If not, I'll have to set a schedule to do it like half an hour before (on a timer, so would make it easier/safer for later).

Crank up the electric bill 👍

    • +7

It uses little electricity compare to the heater

    • +4

The queen size one has two sides which max out at 55w each… So if used for 4 hours a day on both sides for 6 months (183 days), that's 80.52 kwh per year. If you pay 40c per kWh for electricity, that's $32.21 a year for electricity.

That's paltry compared to any kind of space heater.

    • +1

Crank up the cranks…go back to hotwater bottles, grain bags and bed warming pans or use a feather down quilt.

      • Three dog night… or one hot filly.

  • Apparently from what I’ve read, they are the most efficient way to stay warm during winter.
I wonder if you could put a single bed version onto your lounge chair?
    Has anyone tried this?

Ordered direct from target for click and collect for $10 Queen bed size.

edit. also got a single for the lounge.

Throw blankets may be safer. Less body crumpled wires in tight corners, less power use. Depends where you need the heat.

    • I use 12v car heated blanket for covering when on lounge, price is bit higher but can last longer than this one, which the fabric turns to powder in about 3 years

I have this, takes ages to heat up, also doesn't have the standard 4 way switch and you will not be able to use it with a timer.

Kmart sale single bed one for $3, still has some stock in Sunnybank Kmart when I there this morning. Saw double sale for $6 and Queen for $10 week ago but out of stock for now

  • Refunded, and looks to be sold out in VIC on Target website too.

  • I love these. Even on the coldest morning without a heater you wake up feeling quite warm. Though it makes the cold room feel comparatively colder.
