65" OLED TV Recommendations Samsung Vs LG

Hey all,

My wall can only fit a 65" TV. Looking to get an OLED.
Considering between LG C4 and Samsung S90D. I have read about panels inconsistency with Samsung. Does that apply to S90D?

Which one would you go for? Would the choice lean towards Samsung if I were to get the Q990D soundbar?

Thanks!

    LG C4 or G4

I was able to secure 65" LG C4 during recent sale for just $2300

    • Which sale?

  • 65Inch S90D in Aus is an OLED. I’ve got one and it’s awesome. This YT might also help -

Matched with a Samsung bar just means you get q -symphony which is a cool plug n play feature. I haven’t necessarily thought that’s a must though so any bar would be fine.

  • If you watch Netflix with top tier plan, then go for LG as it is the only one that supports Dolby Vision.I have the older samsung soundbar (2021-22) and can vouch that it is awesome with LG C1. For some reason the Harvey Norman guy told me that Samsung comes with QD-OLED.

    • Of Lg and Samsung that's true, but Sony also offers Dolby Vision.

Some models of Samsung (and Sony, using the Samsung screen) use a QD-Oled rather than a WOLED screen.

  • Honestly the LG "C" series OLEDS are bloody outstanding. I personally own a 65" CX and I swear by it. Has all of the modern tech in it, supports HDMI 2.1, supports G-Sync and VRR technologies. WebOS is also very good on it. Can recommend.
