Cashrewards SMS Verification Code Not Being Sent

Hey guys,

Is anyone else having issues logging into their CR account due to SMS verification code not being received?

I reset my password just now, which also requires a SMS verification code. This code was sent to my mobile instantly.
However, the SMS code when logging into a new browser is not being sent at all.

    • Nope.

      I don't think I enabled 2FA for CR. They must have rolled this out very recently.

      One of my work colleagues has reported the same issue as me (i.e. not receiving any login codes via SMS).

  • For anyone else reading, CR has emailed me saying they have removed their 2FA challenge for now while they investigate the issue.

    I discovered the Cash Rewards SMS were getting out into my SMS spam folder automatically (Android device) which is why they weren't coming through. Check there!

    Thank goodness I figured it out, I had $30 of cashbacks to withdraw.

      This turned out to be a bug on their site at the time.

      I am on an iOS device, and I have "Filter unknown senders" disabled. So, 100% it was not the same issue as you.

  • I am in the same boat and unable to receive OTP to be able to withdraw? I did receive one OTP to change my password and after that to login, I am unable to?

    What can I check?
