Good pick up @simplystu.
It is odd though in Item 24 them classifying the prize as a 'travel voucher' without any specified value. Unlike the other parts of the prize it does not say any 'remaining balance will be forfeited' but it also does not say if the fares are above the included "the winner will be required to pay the additional value"
I suppose they just cover themselves by quoting an extremely inflated price given it's only for 2 economy class tickets within Australia. This also allows them to put a high 'total value' package which would seem more appealing.
Most would not read the T & C's and at the end of the day as long as air fares are totally covered in whatever experience the winner chooses, its a win for them.
Good luck to you and everyone who enters. :-)
Am I missing something here ? or do virgin price the airfare part of prize (for 2x PPL) at extreme prices ???
It just doesn't add up.
a.) Experience OZ for 2x ppl - UPTO value of $1500.
b.) Return economy Choice flights for 2x ppl.
c.) $600 voucher to spend on accommodation.
Total value of prize == $6000.
So part b.) the flights == $3,900 for 2x ppl Economy class ???
Although … item #24 of T&C's discusses a travel voucher.
Does that mean that Virgin travel voucher == $3,900 ???
Sorry for the formalities.
But I have caught out some businesses/comps out in the past … due to discrepancies in their T&C's.
Anyway, a good prize to win - whoever gets it.
