This popular deal is back again as seen Here and Here. At the time of posting this they haven't updated their T&C's and FAQ's link so it's still referencing the previous campaign dates but the campaign timer started just over 6 hours ago. The individual referral links are the same as the previous campaign.

Go to your ☰ Menu tab in your account.
Select ‘Get bonus shares’ and then ‘Invite friends’.
Tap 'Share link' button to share your referral link.
Alternatively, you may invite people directly from your device's contacts:

Select "Invite contacts".
Allow access to your contacts.
Start sending invites and receiving free bonus shares.
When will I get my free bonus shares?
Within 3 business days after your friend has verified and funded their Trading 212 Invest with the Minimum Deposit.

What is the time limit to meet the requirements?
The promotion requirements must be met no later than 10 days after the account's creation.

    I never get this offer any more, seems like it's targeted.

    That is, I have a Trading212 account, and it just always says "Campaign ended" and no option to refer new people for a bonus.

        From past experience, Trading212 make users eligible in waves, so most aren't eligible to refer others especially at the start of a campaign. I've once gotten the email that I was eligible with about 1 week left in the campaign, but it actually started a few weeks prior. I definitely was not eligible prior to getting the email (checked the app and it said "campaign soon" or something like that when it was first posted to OzB).

    People should really remove their invite links after campaigns. Those who aren't targeted are basically giving free referrals since they aren't eligible and get nothing from someone using their link.

    Super easy to re-add links if eligible

        Admin/mods could do this but my guess it would be all or nothing. Eg deleting some old links who may still be eligible for rewards.

            @bobwokeup: At the very least, it takes advantage of people who post and forget - they purposely only make a fraction of them eligible, which minimises their payout but still get the exposure from the campaign.
            E.g. say only 100 of the 724 referral links are eligible. On average, they pay ~86% less in referrer credit than if all of the links were eligible (IIRC all referees still get the bonus, regardless if the refer link is eligible). But this post and reach would be the same either way.

              @highwind: True that although I confirmed with support the following is correct:

              All active members are entitled to refer friends if they are in the countries that are eligible for the promotion.
              To keep yourself active, you would have to make any sort of action in your account, such as deposits, withdrawals, position opening or closing and more.
              If your account is considered to be inactive, we will send you a reminder via email to continue with the activity.
              Generally, we notify our clients when we reach six months of inactivity.

    What is it like as a trading platform?

      I'd say it's relatively simple, maybe overly simple in some cases. No commissions for trades IIRC, and the exchange rate isn't bad. That being said, I just do random longish-term trading (buy and sell fractional stocks) and no Options or anything like that.
      A useful tip: If you're trading non-AU stocks, it's best to change the settings so it doesn't convert to AUD after every trade…

        Good tip, is that the Currency Options? Mine was already set to Asset Currency on Buy and AUD on Sell, is that the correct setup?

        Also side note, I can’t find any of my preferred ETFs like VAS, VGS, IVV, VTS, A200 does anyone know why?

          Yes, currency settings. I have both set to asset currency, as I like to transfer to AUD at my choosing rather than after each trade. I only trade US stocks, so no point converting to AUD until I'm finished.

          Not sure about ETFs.

      There wouldn’t be any credit check for signing up because you aren’t requesting credit. You’re using your own money to invest. Not sure if they have leveraged options or margin accounts but a standard account is fully funded by you.

    The platform is okay, very simple, reasonable fees. I did a calc a while back, I think if you're just splashing around beer-money, then a trade up to around $120 is even cheaper on here than IBKR after forex + brokerage is factored in. So it could be a viable choice for someone who is chucking in $50-100 per week in DCA style into the US market.

        Betashares isn't for OS trading. T212 isn't for ASX. Two very different scenarios.
