Seiko SRPK43K Prospex 'Night Vision' King Turtle - Sapphire/4R36 Automatic Watch $599 Delivered @ Starbuy

260

A handsome stealth version of the King Turtle line of watches. The Night Vision moniker means it has Lumibrite Pro on the markers for enhanced visibility in the dark.
According to the description it's "…Lumibrite in green as it is the easiest colour to see in the dark, but also ‘Pro’ because of its higher intensity glow for brighter and longer."

Apart from that, you get a solid build for a proper diver's watch which even sports a sapphire crystal (with cyclops). It's 45mm in diameter but the short lug-to-lug of 47.7mm and curved profile means it should wear a lot smaller.

Full specs:

  • Case Diameter: 45mm
  • Case Thickness: 13.2mm
  • Case Material: Black Stainless Steel
  • Crystal: Sapphire
  • Movement: 4R36 Day/Date Automatic
  • Crown: Screw Down
  • WR: 200m
  • Strap: Black Stainless Steel Bracelet
  • Clasp: Push-Button

  • Interesting. I have the NV tortoise and all the other ones. I don't think I have this NV 🤔

      Here's your opportunity!

      • Nah, bought sneakers at Subtype instead

They may be limited edition (6000-7000 usually) but don't seem that desirable or easy to sell (still got the black NV 38.xmm one I never wear.

      • +1

Yeah, I've got plenty of turtles/tortoises and all-black watches so it's like whatever

        • Yeah I shouldn't have bought it but does wear very well. It's stealthy but think a black PVD watxh should be a bit chunkier and tough, will see what Casio got in metal. Think I was after more of a military theme than diver.

      • still got the black NV 38.xmm one I never wear.

Buy watch that you never wear? Should as well lend it or open a watch shop ;-)

Something that is not easy to sell? Try Cashconverter … I sold a Nokia phone there long time ago.

Thanks OP bought one for my collection. I’m a very big collector of expensive automatic watches.

Should have bought the $1400 one in the other thread. :P

      • do i look crazy to you?

    • Let me guess … You bought this with monopoly money 💰

      • No bro I work for my money and people are jealous at me

  • Warranty: Seiko 3 Year

    Crazy low warranty period.

As opposed to what? Patek Phillippe is a measly 2 years, most other Swiss luxury brands only extend out to 5 years. Citizen's base warranty is 3 years international but will extend to 5 years if purchased through an authorised dealer.

That's all academic, however. Ideally, you won't want to have the need to exercise a warranty claim in the first place. That's where Seiko's workhorse movements like these really shine, they should be very reliable over the life of the watch.

      • I'm surprised PP is only 2 years, and they would have a hard time not honouring anything beyond that in Australia given the price of their watches and our consumer laws.

Then again, if you're able to buy a new PP you aren't concerned with warranty periods ;)

    • If you prefer warranty above 3 years, go for Citizen watch with 5 years warranty here.

      • Even my Omega is more than seiko, but it's only 4 years.

  • I thought this was the Night King edition.
