Longing for something that sleek which lets me use dual monitor.
Just couldn't find anything at a cheaper price.
Anybody in shenzhen seeing this comments , please make one

      think this has dual 4k at 60Hz .. https://amzn.asia/d/5NfjidB

      • I think the listing image suggests it wont work with dual monitor on a mac

        • +1

This is a limitation of some MacBooks, specifically the Airs (I believe) - not inherently in macOS, as the image purports.

You didn't mention Mac in your original comment.

Also which Mac? If the hardware doesn't support it a third party dongle can't do anything:

          https://support.apple.com/en-au/guide/mac-help/mchl7c7ebe08/…

For Mac computers with the Apple M1 Chip: You can connect a single external display to your Mac. Docks don’t increase the number of displays you can connect.

          • @bio: didnt work with my m1 pro, dual hdmi setup

      • Ordered this exact one. Unable to achieve 4k 60Hz on both Windows and Linux with one monitor. Displays at like 1080p for dual monitors. Pass through power is also dodgy. I've put a return in. Completely false advertsing.

    Ouch 4k @ 30Hz…

    I think this has dual 4k at 60Hz .. https://amzn.asia/d/5NfjidB

Thats an amazing deal, just bought, thanks.

    • thanks, you should post this as a deal ?
EDIT : Too late, they've jacked the price up to $39.99

      • Says 29.99 for me

        • yep, they've since changed price to $29.99

          • @l-p: They're playing funny buggers with the price, it's now $19.99 again, so just double check price before committing.

            • @l-p: I bought at 29.99 but returning since its a load of bull that it can do dual monitors at 4k at 60hz. Only does 4k 30Hz for one monitor.

    • Another dock with dual 4k at 60Hz but its DP and HDMI (plus it has a VGA)
Selore 12 in 1 at Amazon also $29.99

  • Would this let me power a samsung phone and output DeX to a monitor at the same time?

  • Is it pay less pay cash?

Don’t recommend getting anything that runs at 30Hz. The minimum for anything should always be 60Hz. But in general it is a good price.

Note that this doesn't have power delivery, so you can't charge your laptop with this.

I grabbed one this morning before 9am, I mainly bought it for the Ethernet connection because my personal home and work laptops both don’t have one, and I also bought it so that I can take a wireless keyboard and mouse into the office and easily connect them to the 40” ultra wide monitors, I don’t like using the new wired keyboards and mouses in our new office building at work.

I already own the following one with 120hz and 60hz 4K HDMI and displayport ports, and USB-C thunderbolt charging:

    • This is now $20

      • What’s now $20? The Novoo 8 in 1 USB hub I bought a while back which is the one I linked to on Amazon.au is currently showing the price as au$59.99 for me, plus there’s a 25% off coupon available to use for it, which takes it down to the same price I originally paid for it.

        • The hub in your link above was $19.99 for a time as I got a 3 x camel price notification.

          • @loveyoulooongtime: I just searched that exact Novoo 8 in 1 USB hub on camelcamelcamel and according to the price history shown there it hasn’t dropped to a price below $45 recently, I bought mine earlier this year. I think you might be mistaking it for a different Novoo usb hub model… According to the product description on Amazon.au this particular Novoo model 8 in 1 USB hub was only released this year on the 13th of February 2024.
