Where to Buy Cheap Picture Frames?

I need large wooden frames for fabric paints and posters like 1mx1.2m frames with glass or plastic covers on the front. They seem to be very expensive even in online stores and rare to find too. Does anyone know where to buy them relatively cheap?

It can be a bit hit or miss but have a look at Lifeline, Vinnies, and other Op shops.

  • Got a lot of cheap pictures that need frames?

I've had some oil paintings I bought 20 years ago that have needed frames. Haven't yet found any affordable. Really need to befriend a carpenter.

I've noticed that it is a lot harder to buy frames and/or mounts since digital photography came in. Used to be much easier - lots available at photo processing shops and/or kMart Target etc.

Can't buy photo mounts anywhere now!

    daiso?

    • sorry didn’t read the 1m x 1.2m part.

they had big ones when I went looking a year ago but I don’t think they had ones that big.

I have a bad memory but maybe 50cm x 40cm at biggest. also yeah cheap so plastic not glass.

some of the smaller ones had like thin floppy clear plastic. good enough to work just with you disassemble it the plastic clear would droop like laminate.

I need to frame a large puzzle but it's so expensive. Been meaning to build a frame for it but never get around to doing it. Got some of the tools too but I think even the materials for the frame aren't that cheap these days. Delivery on top of that…

  • kmart or slavos, ikea got some too
