  • purchased this tv for 995 yesterday, still pending pickup from Harvey. Will they refund?

    • +1

Yes they should be otherwise cancel order and place another one

    • Yes. Since you hadn't yet picked it up as in handed over to you the order wasn't yet completly finalised. The goods hadn't even left the store. You should be able to just have the order cancelled and refunded.

    I have a 7 year old Samsung TU8000 that is 100hz.
    This TV is 50hz.
Not sure if I will notice a big difference in picture quality if i get this TV and if it is actually a downgrade?
    Thanks

Have a look at in store if you can.

I would probably get something with a higher refresh rate.

    • +3

TU8000 is a 60hz panel and was released in 2020

      • How come the spec says motion rate 100hz. Some fakery going on?.

        • Motion rate is not the same as refresh rate. Most manufacturers advertise the motion rate as double the refresh rate. It essentially means nothing.

    • Depends what you watch/use it for.

50hz is fine for general/most use.

Me to the MIL the other day: Hey, they got a Samsung 75 for a grand at JB
Her: Ooooh, maybe, but I think I might wait

My email last night: 15% off today only, shit, I'll tell her in the morning.

OzBargain now: You want a further 10% back in gift cards too, dummy?

Watch her not bother to jump.

  • How to add to cart. it's not working for me for some reason

    • I think you may be too late. I added it to my cart on my phone. Then a couple of hours later I went to buy it on my computer and there was no add to cart button. Luckily I still had it in my cart on my phone and I could complete the purchase.

TVs are definitely a "big internet" purchase 😂

  • Does HN delivery include unboxing/setup of the TV? Or they just drop it off?

  • Shows "in store only", so not online and the code could not be applied.

This is still available for pickup online, I just ordered now.

Go to 'find in store' > look for any 'in stock' store > click 'quick reserve' > scroll to the bottom and click 'add to cart instead' > select your closest store for pickup when it's delivered to the store.

    • Good spotting.

    • But how to apply the 15% off coupon?

      • That's why I marked it as expired.

        • +1

The 15% and bonus gift card still works in store if there is stock. I just purchased one this way. Bought the 85" for $1595 -$239(15%) - $136(bonus gift card) - $54 (4% cashback gift card) = $1166 is an absolute score

      • Can't you just add the EXTRA15 code in the cart under 'promotional code'? I just tried again and it works.
        Promo says "Ends 11:59pm 21.09.2"

        • Yes you can

Bought a couple of 75s from the good guys on Thursday, anyone got a receipt from Harvey Norman so I can try get back 120% of the price difference?

    • This requiresd a coupon discount code to get the price. You can bet that the 120% price difference specifically excludes coupon discount prices.

  • We bought this TV but didn't get any gift card? How/where do you get the card from?

    • After you receive the tv, they process the tax invoice and gift card together. It took a day after tv was delivered.

      • We received the tax invoice/receipt but didn't get any gift card. We ordered on the 21st and it was delivered on 23rd.

Nevermind, found it - it was in the spam folder.
