To those wondering, the maximum voucher repayment fee is still $800 so if you cancel, you will pay a maximum of $800 to do so.

$766.59 if you're in the first month, plus the $99 for the first month. I just went through cancelling 2 numbers

      • +1

Yep but from the Pixel 9 Pro XL pre-order deal, if you manage to get them to make the start date into the future you can avoid paying for the first month but then need to pay the full $800. Works out slightly better if you can swing it.

        • Interesting, might have to try that for next time

New here, just trying to figure out how this works.
So essentially if i cancel on the first month i'll end up paying: $2699-$1450+$800(cancellation fee) = $2049? Is that correct?

      • +1

Close, just need to add $89 for the first month for the contract (though see my comments above as you may be able to avoid that as well).

    Great phone love it

    • Do you game on it? I'm keen to hear how gaming performance is.

I'm so torn between the s24u, this and the iphone 16 pro max

      • +1

Sorry I don’t game. I got it for playing movies which is perfect for me on the go.

        But https://youtu.be/2YNtX40Rx30?si=J3YHqLv0H_HGwbcH

if gaming is one of the main use case, 16 pro would be best option, with games like RE4R, RE8, AC Mirage etc.

  • i wish they have flip version

  • Optus store had the 256GB model for just under $2K few days ago, 2.2 for the 512 GB model, outright with no plans attached.
Gutted that I missed it while checking reviews!

    • JB pricing is inflated by these "promotion".

      • +1

yea the RRP no doubt has been priced up so they can offer some pseudo deal just after launch

        • Same as flip6 which Telstra/Optus/Vodafone offered a "free" galaxy watch and JB did. All asked for the same RRP.

Yeah I won't say this is a bad deal, but when you compare it to the pre-order $1000 bonus trade in coupon, it doesn't stack up for me personally (if my work was still paying plan costs it would.) LOL

When I did my pre-order, I used an old iPhone 8 with a $1 value and didn't even send it in, yet got $1000 off the phone so paid $1697. That is just $450 more than this offer without having to commit to the $89 a month x 24 months = $2136

    • +1

If they have the $1000 trade in again for the 10 Pro fold I'll get that to replace my 6 Pro in a heartbeat

      • +1

Yeah thats what I did. Did the 'trade in' just to get the $1000 off but then sold my Pixel 8 Pro on Marketplace for way more than it would have got for trade in

  • +1

Almost 3 grand for a phone seems insane to me

    • +7

Yeah it would be, but no one actually pays RRP for it. Also in a world where Apple charges $2149+ for its iPhone 16 Pro Max which is just a regular candy bar phone, it seems less crazy when you're talking foldables. LOL

      • I 100% agree with your latter statement

      • Yeah it would be, but no one actually pays RRP for it.

I thought so too, but there was a bunch of shockingly horrible Fold5 "deals" posted in ozb in the ~2 months leading up to the Fold6 launch.

Apple's innovation is dead atm unfortunately and people just cannot seem to accept it. Also for somebody coming from an iPhone world , pixels are closest to UI/UX

    • With trade-in offers, discounted gift cards and TRS refund, I paid about $1450, just gotta have the ozbargain ingenuity!

  • No more 512GB….

    • In the Porcelain colour, yep, all gone :/, but 512gb available in Obsidian

Where are the deals for the pixel 9 pro!

  • Do you reckon Google will have some good offers around their birthday? i.e. 27th Sept.

    • +2

In US they are having offers as part of birthday.
Should trickle down here too in some way.
