Xiaomi Monitor Tax Deduction Concluded

So I finally deducted the Monitor purchase from taxes

It is the 34" curved monitor 3440x1440

Question 1) How much can I sell it on ebay

Question 2) What other monitor can I buy as replacement for ~ $600 to replace it.

Could've easily just asked what the monitor is worth. The aspect of the tax depreciation is moot.

Check Facebook Marketplace as a reference, and ebay has an advanced search where you can view completed listings. You'd be able to see there how much other monitors have sold for, if any.

    • Thanks, did not know. Not been on ebay for so long

  • That's a monitor from 2020 and nowadays 144hz VA monitors are around $300 ~ $399 brand new.

And honestly I would just keep using that monitor, a budget of $600 still only buys you a maybe a 34" WQHD 180hz gaming LCD with fake HDR support with no full-array local dimming. It would not be much of an upgrade from a 2020-era panel.

An QD OLED monitor using the first-generation Samsung OLED panel is probably the best value "premium" choice for gaming but that would set you back around $900~ $950 for a refurbished unit, or $1200 brand new/

  • Are you sure you want to sell it on eBay as that would leave a paper trail…

    • ATO no longer interested after 3 years …

  • Around $200, if it is USB C then 300
