  • So, this is normal microSD not suitable for dash cam?

I think some people will tell you to use Endurance cards but I have 2 dashcams with Samsung Evos and never have issues with them for years now.

      YMMV.

    • I got this exact card for my dashcam, it lasted 6 weeks then failed, fortunately bought from Amazon so refunded.

I used very basic sandisk with dashcam, no issues at all. People say dont drink tap water either LOL

  • Will a normal sd card like this work in a dashcam - sure.

Is an endurance sd card a better option - you bet.

Any device that performs a large number of read and write cycles such as a dashcam, raspberry pi would benefit from an endurance card.

Regardless of what you use, always export important videos off asap, and if you start having card issues, get it replaced asap.

Nothing worse then needing a video and the card is corrupted.

No hate; but why is this so upvoted?
They're good cards, the price is good, but it's also the normal price. I've bought half a dozen of these this year.

  • Heads up, I did use these in Tapo C500 but they failed after 3 weeks x2

Full time recording? If so, not bad.
If that was rare\triggered recording; then thats… pretty bad.

So far I've had good luck with them.

      • ye bit of a mix. Mostly all-day recording, off at night

  • Just my 2 cents.

I bought a Patriot 128gb sd for a handheld. Used less than a few dozen times, and it just wasn’t reliable. Very glitchy. Replaced with a Sandisk and had no more issues.

Just in case I set it up wrong, I tested the Patriot some more and have trouble with Switch, PC and Mac not being able to mount, format, or store data (inconsistently).

Sticking with Sandisk and Samsung from now on.
